I learned here that a chairlift does not have to be continuous. Rather, that it also needs to have 2 separate stations. In the scenario "Karts & Coasters" I decided to build a huge chairlift which travels around the entire property and place stations wherever I can manage to arrange them. I was able to place 4 stations with the fourth one being the toughest to solve. Nonetheless, by God's grace, I was able to manage to finish the Chairlift. I clicked the green "Open Ride" button and got the error message: "Chairlift needs to Start and End at Stations."

Here is an image just incase you are curious about the difficulty I had. I had to work out the Footpath, Entrance/Exit Buildings, and Chairlift rails all within a very compact space. It looks convoluted, but hec the peeps won't mind! :)

EDIT 1: I managed to rebuild it with only two stations but I have the same problem.

EDIT 2: I managed to find the solution - the ride must literally start at a station with an Entrance Building and Exit Building and then end at another station with its own Entrance Building and Exit Building.

EDIT 3: I was able to remove the last section of track between my fourth station and first station and open the ride with no problem. So the ride may have more than one station, but it must start at a station (Entrance/Exit) and end at another station (Entrance/Exit) somewhere else. There may be any number of stations (Entrance/Exit) between those two.

 Sorry for the post and all the edits, but maybe this will help someone else out...
