You have to choose the landscape window. Go to 8 cars and click landscape. Click on activate mountain tool. You'll have to do the same thing anytime that you close the window. Hope that help.

Lucas already answered how to use it.
What it does? It liftsshapes the landparts you choose into mountains. In RCT2 you can only do that when in the SE. If you want to do it ingame you need a trainer for it ( I think in RCT1 you could do it ingame also withoout a trainer)

To make mountains, open your park, and then open 8-Cars. Return to your park. Select the shovel icon at the top right of the screen. This would be the same icon you’d use if you wanted to raise or lower land tiles. You can either:ya....does that explain to me how to use the mountain tool??? if it does... i didnt understand it lol....Can somene with bette explation explain it to me, i know how to activite the tool, but HOW DO I MAKE THE MOUNTAINS!!1
* return to Windows and, in 8-Cars in the “Landscape” menu, select “Activate Mountain Tool”; or
* return to Windows and, in 8-Cars in the “Landscape” menu, select “Adjust Land Mover Size” and on the little screen that comes up select the “Mountain Tool” key; or
* you can remain in your park and use the hot key combination Ctrl+F1.
Now you’ll be able to raise sloped land without exposing any vertical land faces. This is how mountains are made in the game.
When I've used 8-Cars, a very few times I'll get exception errors. I’ve found that the errors occur whenever I have **this problem going on in my park. Check out your park to make sure you don’t have this type of thing going on anywhere. If you do, remedy the problem per the instructions in the July 19, 2005 post (in the linked topic); and then see if the mountain making tool will work successfully.
Please let us know if this was the cause of your problem.

Are you attempting to use the mountain making tool in a scenario while you're still editing it, or are you attempting to use the mountain making tool in a park you've opened that's in a scenario that you've completed editing?

Oh that's what I was doing wrong then!. I was trying to use it while making a scenario!. When I opened a scenario in the scenario editor it allowed me to use the Mountain Tool without any Error Trappers. The Mountain Tool is great!. I can make plenty of mountains with this useful tool!.RCTtom,

I just hope another version will be out soon. It's been 2 years since the last one. I hope to God that repair rides WILL be accessible. I've been wanting to do that ever since I discovered the trainer!!
Again, a great trainer. Hopefully, ja227 will come out with the 12 (16?) cars per trainer for RCT3. But it'll be hard. RCT3 is one big game.
