well I haven't noticed any problems yet with rct2 and vista ...
am playing rct2 on vista and so far report no problems
Are either of your Vista installations original factory, upgrades from a previous OS, or a new installation you did on a new (blank) machine?

new on my lap top
took me some time to configure it right.
think the things which are causing the most troubles are the UAC (User Account Controll) which makes trainers dont work good (I think). and the visual themes of vista dont work with rct2.
so if you want to run rct2 good you need to disable UAC and run rct2 in compatility mode (XP SP2) and disable the visual themes.

The computer was advertised as having a video card good for all gaming.
I don't know if this information is what is needed to determine my problem. Have I made a mistake in buying this computer? My old computer has a Radeon 9250 graphics card that I bought specifically for games. Is the graphics card at least as good on the new computer? I copied all this information, but don't understand it. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Excuse the previous posts from me that just said hello. The computer froze up, and it posted my message as I was beginning to write.

I think in your case it's more a problem of getting rct2 and the trainer to work under Vista, not everything does and there's no plan's to release any updates to make it compatable that I'm aware of. You might try changing your machine to XP compatible mode when playing rct2 and see if that helps.
