Yay for Wolfie!!! I would say that what I always do for creating supports and it bugs me when you can't delete supports with the scenery deleter. As well, I would make the bases of the supports all one color cause they look wierd in two color schemes. ;)

Well, suffice to say,
that I would be royally urinated if I was using the bulldozer tool,
and accidentally deleted a swath of perfectly built custom supports.

Major 11 image update on jobs completed throughout the park.

Assorted fixer uppers were attended to today.
From tweaking midways, to embellishing existing attractions, to a few other surprises that I didn't actually plan on doing. It'll be worth while to go back to previously posted images, to see the changes that took place today. It was a very productive day. I'll try to touch on everything. But I'm sure I'll miss a few things.
So I can't tell you everything I did.

Posted Image

The A/C units atop the Retro Lounge got an upgrade to the air handlers. You know how hot dancers can get. Now they'll stay cool. Face-Off, the twin Top Spins, got covered queues. The queues DON'T lead to the same midway. One leads to one midway, while the other queue leads to another midway. Street lamps and traffic signals got put in for that "Downtown" flavor. And music video monitors line the "streets". And I stretched more of that Red, White and Blue bunting, across the street from the Thriller coaster, to the twin Top Spins.

Posted Image

I put in this scrambler and didn't do anything to the queue. But now, it's got a screwy cover for it now.
Just above it, you can see a red fire hydrant, with a major leak problem.

Posted Image

Bumper boats obstacle course. Gusher & Slushy. Note the NEW sign for The Roswell Stunner? Do you like that LDW?
You'll see more of it a bit later.

Posted Image

The Spinning Falcon got a new bird-brained friend. The Twirling Coo Coo, (a Tilted Whirler by AE.) Complete with custom retro signage.
Hey, this is what rides looked like in amusement parks back in the 50's. So don't laugh.

Well, OK, you can laugh, but don't point.
.......................................................
You're pointing right now, aren't you?

Posted Image

This whole part of the kiddie area has been reworked. New midway configuration, Queues moved and there used to be an observation tower where the circus is. And a new tea cups ride went in, where the original location for a ghost train was.
Guess who imported some decent rides, and took out a bunch of rides nobody uses anymore?

GUILTY!

Posted Image

You may have noticed that green circle in the image above? That's the consequences for using zero clearance while placing a pre-built track design and simply moving it over the footpaths. See? Near the bottom, just to the left of the circus? The footpaths are all broken up. This is from placing the supports for the monorail. I have to fix the footpaths ALMOST every time I add the supports,
because the supports are saved scenery with a car ride. Think I'm going to build each support manually,
By HAND?

Guess again.
.
.
.

Anyway... The Midway looks a bit complex, but the peeps can navigate it, as I made one in Skull Island, and the peeps have no problem using it. There's a lot of places that Luketh or LDW can lead queues up to OR branch a new midway from it.

Posted Image

There are a LOT of jumping fountains here.

Posted Image

Thriller's track got a major revision. Not as many chain-blocks and I still got an in-line-twist out of the deal.
Haven't bothered to compare ratings just yet. I was too busy with everything else.

I also added blower-units to the base of the balloon feet.

Posted Image

Beige Walls, as suggested by LDW. And a covered bit of track if the last train gets delayed on the block brake during the monsoons.

Posted Image

Overall view.

Posted Image

Lastly, the back of the Roswell Stunner sign.
No, the building blocks are not floating in the center of the diamonds.
There are poles running through the base blocks, so the small diamonds are being "held up in place".

The sign is supposed to look like electricity, and I'm using the colors of the coaster & structure.

There are a few other tid bits I missed. Maybe I'll get to them on the next pass.

Comments, questions, suggestions welcome.

Sorry for the double-post.

This is for those who didn't think that Thriller was realistic enough for them. Since they offered no actual pointers on HOW to make it more realistic, I decided to alter the second half of the coaster. If you guys STILL don't think it's realistic. Then tell me WHY! If you can't do that much, other than bad mouth my track, you're worthless to me and anyone else's tracks that you comment on.

Sorry for the bitchin', but sometimes it helps when people offer constructive criticism, rather than an all encompassing "realism" excuse to post to, and thereby ruin, a good topic. If you aren't part of the solution, your part of the problem.

That said, Here's the revamped Thriller coaster in Roswell City: Year-Round Fair.

The old version of Thriller...

Crunch the numbers? Excitement and Intensity increased by an additional 0.22, (which I thought odd that both increased the same amount.) While Nausea increase twice that, to an additional 0.44. Also odd, that it increased twice as much as the Excitement and intensity.

Major goof happened today. Sneezing while the bulldozer tool was active. Wiped out the wooden coaster queue building. (That little building out front?) It's gone. just a few blocks had remained, and maybe a few roofing blocks. Whoever built it, I'm so sorry. I wouldn't blame you one bit if you got upset. I should of let up on the mouse button. But the sneeze came on so quickly, I didn't have time to react. The monitor got pretty messed up too. (GrOsS!)

Posted Image

Since I didn't know how it was constructed, I couldn't exactly rebuild it. Thank Gawd that the tool didn't jerk as far as to delete any of the canopy hanging over it. BUT IT CAME CLOSE! Some of the horizontal while bar at the bottom edge got nailed. But that was easy enough to replace. I always liked that canopy.

So, I spent the better part of this evening, trying to create a new structure for the queue. I remembered that it had an A/C unit on top, but that was about it. So I started from scratch, and made an entirely new structure. Also note, I replaced the roof to the diner.

It took me a few minutes to remember that it was a two-level roof. And I just noticed that an extra bit of raised wall separates the two. I'll get to that in the next build session.

Posted Image

All this came about when I was revamping a portion of the midway. Here's the before shot of what it looked like beforehand. Notice that the crazy path midway, sort of bends to the left, right after the woodie's queue structure? I straightened that out. Mostly due to the path of the monorail. Notice how there are no default supports on a rather long stretch of track here? I didn't like that. And the tea cups ride was pretty much in the way.

Posted Image

A little rearrangement of attractions and we end up with a bit of empty space on the far side of the midway. So I can use the custom supports for the monorail. The area where the midway was, surrendered enough space to put the Spiral Slide in line with the Ferris Wheel, and the rest of the kiddie rides. Also, after moving the slide, and the midway, enough space was available for the Tea Cups ride, where the slide was located.

A little more on that midway area I rearranged.

Posted Image

There's quite a bit of property left for others to work on too. A few oddball areas in the developed areas, and one huge area that's untouched.
I gave those areas the dirt texture, so that they would be obvious for future construction.

The supports for Stunner are complete. I pretty much have had my fill of ghost images cropping up of support objects. I feel like it's a neverending battle to put custom supports on a coaster. My time is better used creating parks. I hate being a ghostbuster.

Posted Image

If I go ahead and make custom supports for Thriller, it'll probably be the last thing before handing the park over to someone else. I'm definatly not looking forward to spending so much time on supports when I know it's going to be an uphill battle. I've been over this park a few times, and I just can't see much else that needs to be punched up or improved. If the park comes back around to me, I'll try to make some improvements or additional rides. But for now, I'm just about done with it.

I just spent all day working on Greez'd Lightnin's supports. For a relatively short coaster, it took a lot of time. Still haven't gotten all the ghosts out of it. It's to aggrivating to keep deleting and rebuilding. I'm giving up on the supports. People will just have to live with the defaults. I just don't care for custom supports anymore. More work than it's worth.

Yeah...why actually work at something that's worthwhile when you can just skimp by and add a few jumping fountains to mask the inadequacies? Get that half-**** park out there and start another one. Then whine when people don't go ga-ga over your latest (same old, same old) creation?

I figured that the problems I experienced had to do with relying on ZC too much to get the supports and track to connect. So I pretty much used ZC only where it really mattered. When I DIDN'T use ZC everywhere, there were no ghosts. I managed to support Thriller, and I didn't have one ghost to contend with. With these four images, I'm pretty much counting on my session with this park as complete. And I'll prep the file to be Emailed to the next person.

MAKE your post WORTH the effort. BE constructive. Because I WOULD like to make some realistic tracks. Or is that an unreachable standard that exists only in a few peoples minds? It annoys ME how a small, handful of people complain about how my coasters don't look "realistic". And then they don't offer suggestions on how to IMPROVE.

Remember rule #1. (above) When you want to give feedback, please make it constructive. Always try to say why you like or don't like something.

So to those people who comment, yet don't suggest ways of improvement, I would prefer to hear nothing at all, than just "It's not realistic". It's an opinion that means nothing to me other than that you're just trying to boost your post count.

I mean, when I respond to a park or a track, whatever, I try to give constructive suggestions and critique the project. "Critique" means giving an opinion and offering suggestions on ways to improve, in a gentle and positive way. When people leave a comment like that, it's not an incentive to improve.

You might as well say that the track design blows and never come back again. So please, it's NOT like I DON'T take suggestions.

If you had noticed and read my post properly I said I liked the design and it flowed well. Therefore there is no reason for me to give suggestion on how it could be more realistic as I didn't feel it needed to be changed.

If you want me to be a complete ***** and state how you could improve it when there is no need to then fine next time I will do that.

Sorry. I was stressed by other things going on. Still that's no excuse. I apologize.

The park was sent to Luketh, as LDW had it before me.
