Editing a file? You mean the ability to "replace" a file. Right? That's a goot feature.

Not exactly. The idea is to let people add/edit screenshots (maybe they don't like the quality of the thumbnail for example) or add/edit comments about the ride.

If you make a ride, and then 'improve' it, (like the recent topic about the ShockWave ride), then you might for example upload the improvement, and change the comment in the previous version, advising people that an improvement is available.

There is some fairly heavy testing of the new Ride Exchange going on at the moment, especially with uploading screenshots, to make it more flexible. Instead of, like now, YOU doing the hard work making a screenshot smaller, now WE are a lot more flexible about dimensions and formats, and WE do the work to convert your screenshot into a smaller file and a thumbnail.

Unfortunately, although the built-in screenshots from RCT2 (.BMP files) are identified by the image handling software on the server, it cannot convert them due to a bug. As they cannot be rendered in a browser without being converted, I have disabled the ability to upload .BMP files. :( So YOU are going to have to do some work to convert RCT2 screenshots before they can be uploaded.

If you want to beta test the new Ride Exchange, let me know.

We can deal with resizing, just keep doing a good job to make the RideX better.

From what I can see on the rollercoastertycoon.com ride exchange:

1) There are screenshots
2) There are tabs for every letter of the alphabet

Those are the most obvious ones from a quick glance.
