Editing a file? You mean the ability to "replace" a file. Right? That's a goot feature.
Not exactly. The idea is to let people add/edit screenshots (maybe they don't like the quality of the thumbnail for example) or add/edit comments about the ride.
If you make a ride, and then 'improve' it, (like the recent topic about the ShockWave ride), then you might for example upload the improvement, and change the comment in the previous version, advising people that an improvement is available.

Unfortunately, although the built-in screenshots from RCT2 (.BMP files) are identified by the image handling software on the server, it cannot convert them due to a bug. As they cannot be rendered in a browser without being converted, I have disabled the ability to upload .BMP files.

If you want to beta test the new Ride Exchange, let me know.

What's the real difference between the ride exchange from ATARI,and the one here?
From what I can see on the rollercoastertycoon.com ride exchange:
1) There are screenshots
2) There are tabs for every letter of the alphabet
Those are the most obvious ones from a quick glance.
