Exactly what is out of hand? That's a blanket statement if I ever heard one. Anyway, it's not really a productive comment, is it?

Anyway, a bit more of the island has been terraformed. I've been putting it of, putting it off, putting it off. But it had to get done, mostly because I'm getting tired of working in the same area all this time. The "moat" surrounding the island has been reworked. Especially expanded towards the backlot line. I'm thinking I might as well just let the body of water wander off the edge of the map. Because leaving a bit of land around the park is placing a space constrictive measure on the splashboats, as the track is eventually going to weave in and out of dinosaurs in a jungle theme. And that loop of track is kinda close to the edge to allow water and land and an island. So the land on the other side of the moat will have to go.

Alright. Let's take a headcount of the number of attractions in the mountain.1. Elevator2. Runaway Mine Train3. Floorless B&M4. SplashboatsAnd now...5. Skyride Station. The skyride links between the Space Mountain and Mysterious Island. The roof of Space Mountain had to be modified, for an access to the interior of the enclosure.

It's all about the sky ride from this point.

And the station on the Mysterious Island end.

Hope you like the recent developments.

Uh-oh!

I see something orange right where the monorail enters the mountain...

I was just commenting on the sheer size that rct projects are reaching these days. Not just the park size, but what's IN them as well. I guess I should have added some feedback to my comment.

Well, here's some now....

-NICE JOB on the geo-building, space mountain, and the huge mysterious island. Utterly amazing to see such huge yet detailed projects all in one park.

-luvin da fissure the monorail comes out of. Don't know whether or not you plan on this, but I think it'd be kinda cool to have a stream of lava (or two) coming out from somewhere in the mountain and dripping into the moat. Would give off a nice steam effect.

The only other thing I see in this park (other than awesomeness) can be summed up in two words - object limit. :wait:

I've never came up to the object limit before. I don't know what the number of objects for the limit would be. I heard of it, but the details escape me. But it's one of the reasons why I didn't want to add 1/4 tile land blocks on the island. Besides the fact that it would be a tremendous task to position what would amount to a thousand blocks on identical textured surfaces anyway. It just seemed so redundant when the horizontal surface would create the same theme just as well, without loading up on more scenery.

It's also one of the reasons I don't want to populate my benches with just the half wall and 1/4 wall objects. Because that would drive up the object count. But nobody cares to listen. So you should find full height walls in my benches. Whats a few slots if you KNOW you're gonna use 'em?

Anyway, back to the object count... take into consideration that there are already quite a number of 1/4 tile blocks and objects probably already number way past a thousand for Space Mountain and the Geo Sphere. Just because I was able to Pre-Fab and assemble the structures in record time, doesn't mean the objects aren't there. It was just a way to get the blocks & objects into place quickly.

The lava HAS been "boiling" on the back burner of my mind for quite a while now. I just have to determine whether it would be worth it to do some tinkering in the bench and exchange a few items to bring it in with some effect scenery.

I've never reached the object limit myself either, and I have a tendency to use the
1/4 tile land blocks a LOT. IMO, they lend to a more realistic looking, detailed 'hillside'
than simply pulling up full land tiles. It also enables you to get the hills closer to the
tracks themselves (in the pic below, I would have only been able to pull up a total of
5 tiles in the center of where the two tracks circle) so there's not as much dead space
between the tiles and the track. And, it IS a rather tedious task to position what actually
amounts to thousandS (plural) of blocks but, IMO it's worth the effort. The entire area of
whats in these pics is relatively the same size as the mountain in TUT, and I'm positive that
I won't hit the object limit on this. I think you'd have to have a full 256x256 map FULL of
this type of construction to reach the limit.

And no, I'm not trying to 'hijack' your thread here Wolfman.
Just showing an example of how many 1/4 tile blocks are being used
on this map without hitting any kind of object limit (which IS the
current topic of discussion here).
And........I DO see the 'floating' land tiles. This project isn't quite
completed yet ;) .

Now, back to your regularly scheduled programming :D .
