Sorry for the double post, but I need some specific advice here...

I'm debating a few options in terms of how to do the parking lot. Specifically, in terms of doing the actual parking slots. Please take a look at this screenshot I did, and tell me which you think is the best way to go. I've circled each option and numbered them...

Note: This screenshot is not available by visiting my website. I made this specifically to post on these forums, and get suggestions on.

Option 1:
Grey tarmac, using custom scenery to show the parking slots. Since some ground can be seen between the slots and the walkway, I changed the ground type to checkerboard edging, but I could change it to another edging (such as ice).

Option 2:
Grey tarmac, using the ground edging to represent the parking slots. In this example, I'm using the ice edging to accomplish this.

Option 3:
Grey tarmac, using the ground edging to represent the parking slots. In this example, I'm using the checkerboard edging to accomplish this.

Option 4?
Other ideas?

Either 3, or I would put the rocky land underneath it.

Incorporating MidWestBoyInLA's custom roadway/parking scenery, this is what I've put together right now.

The reason why the regular parking slots, and the light poles are purple, is because it's part of my plan to colour code sections of the parking lot. Basically the same idea as having big numbers or letters posted on some poles to make it easier to remember where you parked. I'll be using many different colours as I get more of the parking lot done... or as our British friends say, the car park. My girlfriend is British, so I had to say that last statement.

Thoughts?

Well this park is beginning to look interesting!I like the updated parking lot, much more than the previous ones. Good luck with the rest of the park.

remove those trashcans in the upper right, it looks real weird with the one in the middle of the path.

Not much of an update, but wanted to show you what I am up to. Truth be told, I'm not up to much, simply because I have a lot going on right now.

Nonetheless, here's a taste of where I am in the park. I'm adding in the amphitheatre, which is located in a somewhat hidden private section of the park, near the main entrance. I got mostly favourable reviews regarding the amphitheatre I made in my previous FSW project before it got lost, so I am basically copying it.

The more I look at the amphitheatre, the more I start to think it doesn't look as good as it should. So, in other words, this isn't the final version of it. I definitely will be changing it around. Any particular ideas?

I wouldn't build it on a corner like that. Try this out, it might make it look better.

Dunno how well that represents what I'm tryin to say, but those blocks represent the theater itself (dashes are just empty space). Try to make it a claw shape, with the open space in the middle for the performances. Usually building diagonally like you have is good if you're going to have a spire or tower in the center or corner of the building.

The parking lot looks great, but try replacing those bright yellow crosswalks with something a little less bold. It doesn't match the rest of the lot. If you can, recolor them white, or some color that doesn't qiute "pop out" as much. Even that pale purple would work well.

Hope this helps!

Nice parking lot! It looks really realistic. I would move the trash cans though.

Now that is one of the neatest suggestions I've ever been given... to add the trees in the end with a trainer. I've never thought of that because I don't know how to use the trainers for that purpose - and I do have both 8 Cars and Son Of Beast. Adding them manually, however, will be a killer to my fingers.

The entrance is far from complete so you'll be seeing some changes there in time.

cjman: What trainer helps with trees?

Nice looking park so far, but I would do more like what cjman said and concentrate on your paths and attractions before adding foiliage. I look forward to more pics. Your Extreme 6flags park was a great start as well.
