From dictionary.com"

amusement park
n.
A commercially operated enterprise that offers rides, games, and other forms of entertainment.

OK, you got me; you could just have a bunch of entertainers running around, but I still don't think the peeps are going to be too happy.

Coastercrew....you most assuredly can interpret the meaning of 'park' whatever way you want....If I wanted a 'park' as you so literally took it to mean, I wouldn't have also said the things I said in the above post. I purposefully made this contest a very loosely based objective because I wanted to see creativity and something to get us all in the holiday mood....

I would say half of the entries are very creative and are not 'parks' in your eyes..and the other half are 'amusement parks' as you say.

The point is...there is something for EVERYONE...and thats a good thing, in my opinion.

I knew this was going to be a Hatfield vs McCoy from the very start.

There is no 'right' or 'wrong' here....all the 'parks' are different...I don't see what the problem is :(

Becky, I absolutely agree with you. I just started hearing a similar theme about parks being too crowded and I wanted to open up others' mind that there's nothing wrong with compact, crowded parks (there's beauty in that too as when my kids were young). And if people look hard enough, they will find some of that beauty in those first two parks. B)

Very nice park. When I looked at it I thought there might be a possiblity that this was made by Emergo but then I looked at the list of entries and saw that Emergo wasn't listed as a participant.

By the way has anyone else guessed on this or any previous entries yet?

I have to hand it to the person who built ths park in the scenery category. Very creative! It has awesome holiday theming! :D

...But

I know nothing in the rules states that there needs to be rides, but I personally would like to think of this competition in two parts: Holiday and Park.
Holiday is the scenery and themeing in my opinion and park is the actual amusement park and rides. Yes I can give a lot of credit for the scenery and this is arguably the best one yet, but this park is a little one sided on my philosophy. I think if balanced a little more this could be a hands down winner (maybe with just a coaster). But this park is not what I would think of as an obvious winner right now. B)
And don't get me wrong, I don't like parks too crowded either. ;)

No.
As you can see on the list (and read in my former post in this topic) I did not enter this one.
Like the park very much though ( Only, on your guess Ultra: up till now I never made a "flat roof" without any thing on it, because I find them uninteresting and bland, or at least I cannot make them interesting enough for my liking, while some others can pull them off very well! Even if they put nothing special on it, they seem to look much better than mine  )

And up till now: I tried, but by no way I do have a good guess on who made which park!

Personally I find the question on whether it "has to be" more a "park"", with more/many rides, or "just a map", with less rides but a still a nice feel to it, less interesting. There were (like Becky pointed out) no "rules" for that whatsoever, so I think everyone should go for whatever he/she feels most attracted to: in the making as well as in the judging of these ones.

Love this contest though: every day a surprise!!!
For me December could gladly have had 72 days or so (and entries of course  )

To "nr.5": Lovely little map you made out of it!! Thanks a lot.

Since you guys are going 'literal'....I never said 'amusement' park...i said park

I don't know about you guys, but there is a park at the end of my street...some nice gardens, a few benches, its quite pleasant

This last park in my opinion would be a nice holiday visit...a little train ride, some nice scenery, a christmas tree....

I'd be in the holiday mood :wait:

but hey, to each his own :D

I don't think we are supposed to guess who's park it is; well only to ourselves.

The park creators will remain anonymous until the contest is OVER! PLEASE do not spoil that by posting who made the park....you can guess of course  but please retain the anonymity of the creator!

I also cannot take my eyes off from park 5.

Such a good idea also to build the relatively high entrance-building a few levels lower, so as not to take away the view on the rest of the park!

:D
