But I like Oz too and I'm proud to have it as our August Vacation Park.

This outburst may not intend to offend or insult but I am offended and insulted. If these comments were to help me…….whatever....I think it must make you feel good about totally ruining my reputation here as a park maker, club leader, moderator, and VP Coordinator. While I do respect the decision of the judges and the system in place, I don't feel the need to agree with the outcome, regardless of how numerically close the results may/may not have been, and/or my affiliation with the staff/site. This is not intended to offend, insult, or ruffle feathers, as these comments are to help, not hurt, this site and the VP program.
This has nothing to do with RCTI, Roger's affiliation with RCTM, or my friendship with him. Please don't question my motives behind my remarks, as they will be as objective as possible.
Right............
How Tunnel Mill Got The Shaft
Tunnel Mill didn’t win….it was close…there were 5 judges…the system wont always work the way you want it to…get over it. If RCTI didn’t win….I would say “Oh well” and get on with it.
Why then are you making a big stink of it? OZ was voted the winner through the system, and surely the judges were correct in picking the best park submitted, right?
Indeed, one would think that the best park was selected as the winner, the place to go for people to go see. Sadly this is not the case, and while admittedly I have not seen the other 5 or so parks submitted, I present now, point by point, where I feel the panel has gone wrong.
The panel is not wrong…. the panel did not judge according to your standards…but their own. It may be a disgrace to you….but they were asked to judge, and they did.
I have to be honest….we entered this park only because we had very few entries this month of VP….did I think we would win it? Heck no…..I thought if we were lucky…we might get a runner-up. I was surprised we won….what was I to do? Change the results so Roger would win….cuz quite frankly…I knew this would happen. No…the results are the results.
It’s a game…..a subjective game….and while you certainly can express your opinions….the manner in which you do does reflect on your character. I’m not feeling much character from you.
In summary:
I’m quitting RCT2.com as staff and VP Coordinator and handing over my club. It’s just not fun anymore. It used to be….but its not now.

And Kai, this isn't objective anymore. Why do you do this?

AP, this is very unneccessary. If it's to get at Kai, that's silly because he only expressed his opinion. He's entitled to that. I think you've done a great job getting VP up, and, while the choice this month may be under fire, you're right - you can't change the result the judges came up with. I'm fine with everything Kai said apart from his lack of acceptance of the result. If it helps, I appreciate what you do around here. Wait until you've calmed down a bit and reconsider. In summary:

I don't like speaking for people, but here, I think Austin would agree with me on the fact that it is in no way to get back at Kai.AP, this is very unneccessary. Many things have happened over the recent weeks and things are going very badly for Austin, and for many others at RCT2.com. With many staff members leaving, not to mention RCT:I members leaving and things falling apart in general, this is not the only thing that has influenced his decision. I hope that Austin stays, but cannot sway his decision. I have great respect for what he has done in staff and RCT innovation, he is one of the most organised and down to earth members I have seen and it's a shame to see him go.

Listen my friend, I think I know Kai pretty well and he has allot of respect for you and even sent me a PM regarding this very subject and the last thing we wanted to do is make this sound like a confrontation between RCTM and RCTI. You've worked with him for awhile now and you know that he values all the clubs and that this was not about any club war. He also knows that the VP program is sound and set up the best way possible.
One thing that I ask you to remember is that we welcome different opinions if done in a respectful manner and I believe he did that. He gave specific reasons and explained his opinions. Please remember that we ask for constructive criticism and when we get it, either discuss it further or accept it. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and not once did I hear any derogatory comments about you, RCTI or it's members.
I understand your frustration and can appreciate what you are going through but please don't jump to conclusions and make a decision you will regret later when the dust settles my friend. You mean too much to the site/RCTI and the community to let this happen.

Kai, it's just a game. Your acting like it's a 5 million dollar contest. It's important to voice your opinions, but from what I got from your post is that you disagree with the way AP is running this contest, which is really uncalled for. AP takes a lot of time coordinating this, getting judges, and it just isn't right for you to bash on him.

Once again, Eric, please don't make any rash decisions you will regret. I know things may seem bad right now with losing a couple of RCTI members and some staff members also leaving but if after you've had some time to think about it you still feel your not having fun, then by all means you should step down but let time run its course. You've put allot of hard work to make VP what it is. Not everyone is going to agree and that is to be expected but please try not to take it personal my friend.
