The gardens around the cinema and the observation tower are great!. You've definatly used the scenery well in that area!. I can see the grass in the cinema building, but it's not a big deal. Maybe you could place some flowers in there to make the cinema more interesting. By the way, I really like the Ice Age wooden rollercoaster, that's a pretty good ride and the snowed trees work really well with it.

This is going to be somewhat long...

I've managed to get quite a bit done the past number of days, which I am surprised at because I am working overnights mostly. Not only have I done more expansion into my Ice Age Chill Zone family section, but I've done some retouching and modifications to my park entrance area. In all, I have 7 new screenshots posted.

Screenshot 1) Fox Action Cinesphere - After reading suggestions to change the exit for the ride, as well as modifying the queue line, this is what I came up with. I also created a new path that goes through the gift shop (in which the monorail station sits above it) and goes around the Cinesphere. One reason why I did this is early tests of opening my park shows that without that path, peeps would go into the shop and get caught in there and never come out - we all know how bright the AI is...

Screenshot 2) Lockers - Located right beside the entrance to the park, is a section for locker rentals. The lockers were custom made by Devilman at RCT Revalutions. As you can easily tell, the pathway is blocked so peeps don't actually walk in that area, as they'll get lost and fall into a black hole of sorts. Nonetheless, pretty much all major parks have them and I am trying to do a realistic type park (just as I made the amphitheatre and private groups section, but they too are blocked off.

Screenshot 3) Kingdom Of Heaven Live Action Show - Basically another space filler. Based on the movie Kingdom Of Heaven, this blocked off area is a live action show with all new custom stadium seating designed by Havingfun at RCT Revalutions.

Screenshot 4) Same thing as above, but a reverse angle. This particular view shows the custom stadium seating to a better effect. During one of my many visits to other parks in progress posts on one of the many RCT2 sites, I remember a screenshot from someone about a live stage show they made but at the back of the set they put up the supports to show how it was a set... I liked that idea, hence doing it here.

Screenshot 5) Diego's Dashin Toboggan Race - A new coaster located at the entrance to my Ice Age zone. Like Mammoth (my previously unnamed woodie coaster), the ride stats seem to suggest it isn't a "kids" ride per say, but the stats are right in the middle, at least compared to other coaster tracks I've designed, so I'll say that these two coasters are family friendly, rather then for kids.

Screenshot 6) Polar Cafe - a large restaurant in the Ice Age area. Has 3 stalls in it, each serving 2 foods/drinks. A washroom is located across the path.

Screenshot 7) Alpine and Chestnut Chase - 2 more rides in the mid-section of Ice Age. Alpine is a flat ride - not too much to say there. Chestnut Chase is obviously a little coaster for little riders. It is in the same mold as other junior coasters such as the Taxi Jam coasters for Paramount Parks. In this same screenshot you'll see my 2nd monorail station. Obviously, I am still working on this section of the park.

So those are my updates... 7 screenshots. I am getting a bit excited at how this park is shaping up.

NOTE: When looking at the screenshots page, it may show that one of the thumbnails isn't working or something. Ignore it, they all work fine, I don't know why the website is giving me that problem, but if you click on any thumbnail image, including any icon that shows a broken image or link, it will in fact work and take you to the larger image size.

Sorry this is so long, but on a side note, I wanted to add this last bit. Recently, my park was put on the RCT Peeps spotlight, complete with a well-written and detailed review by Wolfman of my first park, Six Flags Xtreme Canada.

Cheers.

This looks like a very promising park from your recent screenshots thirstydeer!. The Fox Action Cinesphere has a rather abstract look with all of the glassed object pieces surrounding it. The lockers are placed nicely but if I had to criticise it, it would have to be the large part on the top of the lockers, it looks kind of odd. The Kingdom Of Heaven show looks nice, and the Diego's Toboggan race ride looks great. All of the rides are brilliant. Keep it up thirstydeer!. ;)

Hmm, yeah, you have a point there. It looked a bit odd to me as well, mainly cause lockers aren't that big and deep, but I don't have any quarter tile pieces to use in place of full blocks - and I don't think I want to import any at this point either.

Metal, you do a horrid crit.

Anyways, the Cinema is much improved, thank you for connecting the parts.

Not real big on the Kingdom of Heaven name, I think there are other names that would fit better, the set looks nice, but I would make that path bridge the stream.

Diego's dashin tobagan? Sounds like you are looking to the movie for names, now where is scrat's ride?
The turn between the station and lift is too cloase to the section change, give it some more distance before the abrupt transition to grass.
The polor cafe is pretty good, but you should put some of those round ice windows in the walls, it'll make it look less warehouseish from the front.

Chestnut chase, I have no idea who would chase chestnuts, they are quite bitter if I remember correctly.

Given the scenery I had, doing something 'medieval' was the best I could come up with, and Kingdom Of Heaven, was a big budget movie who's name is recognizable to most who read these posts. If you can think of a better movie title reference, I'd be willing to consider that.

Scrat's ride is Chestnut Chase, but I'll give that character another ride... when I think of one. I simply called it Chestnut Chase because of his hilarious and never-say-die attempts at trying to catch that one single chestnut in the movie previews Fox hands out.

Not much of a movie person (as in I've never heard of that movie), so never mind that, it slipped my mind this was a movie park (it shouldn't, almost every real park is based off Hollywood.)

The ride is perfect for scrat, the name just threw me off because scrat was chasing an acorn, not a chestnut.
Of course "chestnut chase" sounds better than "acorn run."

acorns, another bitter nut.
