What about all the other successes on this thread?Vista alone will not give you a better RCT3 experience. If you upgrade OS only - RCT3 will run slower as more system overhead is being consumed by Vista.

Most people who have mentioned the game plays better have Vista installed on a NEW machine, one that's most likely more powerful, has more memory, and a better graphic card. I know when I get a new machine it's always a big jump from the old one.
I have not run across anyone who's installed Vista on their current machine that claimed any improvement IF they already experianced lag, because lag is not totally up to your operating system. There been a few who claimed an improvement, but who also didn't experiance lag BEFORE they installed Vista (they already had the magic trinity for RCT of a powerful machine, lot's of memory and a high-grade graphics card).
You also should remember that people's claims all need to be taken with a grain of salt when it comes to good performance. What one person claims is a finished park that's full of stuff would appear half-empty next to one of mine. Unless you are comparing the exact same park as a benchmark, you're just doing a useless excercise comparing apples and oranges.
If I was going to get a new machine, and if it's after the first service pack is released and any new bugs worked out, I'd then consider going with Vista. Right now I have no reason to switch.

Actually - if you look at other forums, there are several claims that upgrading to Vista slows performance. The primary issue is that the memory and processor requirements are higher, and unless you upgrade the hardware - performance will suffer.

Exactly. You're investing more space and memory on the cool looking interface and other things needed to run vista. So, Vista is most certainly not for people with weakling PCs

I think the cores are arguing over if the excersize bike should be in front of the computer.

Not so hot. I Heard Macs are so better. Because My parents said that Microsoft makes there own viruses and make people buy there anti- stuff. While Macs do not make that much viruses. But I Heard about a new Windows coming up.
