Welcome back to the State Fair area of Disney's America!

The Mudville Nine are playing today at Anderson Field, with a new and exciting twist!

Spectators are enjoying the game!!!

Posted Image

That's right! The bleachers are full of fans cheering on their favorite team, the Mudville Hens, with mighty Casey soon to come to bat!

With the help and dedication of others, a brand new CFR will be released with the State Fair bench.

Details to follow!

Well, I've had quite a few inquiries, so here's how it works;

The actual CFR is invisible;

Posted Image

The ride holds 60 peeps at a time, (40 are in the pic), and they merely sit being entertained for about 90 seconds. They get up and leave at the end of the cycle very happy.

What makes the CFR so cool is that there are several different sets of seats available for the peeps to use, making this ride very versatile.

For example;

An open wooden grandstand;

A brick grandstand;

Posted Image

The enclosed grandstand;

And finally, a simple solid wooden grandstand;

Obviously, these can be mixed and matched, and are all recolorable.

What a neat idea! What a cool concept! How about stunt shows? Live performances? The possibilities are almost endless!

Now, please remember, I did not create either the CFR or the CS. Both these items were created by other members of the community who spent a lot of hours perfecting these items to work hand in hand, and look absolutely amazing! Kudos to you guys! Wonderful work!

The finished product as it appears in Disney's America;

One word; Spectacular!

I've been away from the forums for about 4 months (darn tax season), and the progress on this project is absolutely amazing. It's a pity that you lost so much when your drive crashed, but your 2nd go round with Victory Fields looks better than the first. I was going to ask how you got the peeps to sit quietly to watch a baseball game but you answered that question in the next post; but I do have 3 other questions:

1-Why didn't you use the standard Merry-Go-Round (instead of the Spinning Cups) when creating the Grand Carousel?

2-What does the 'F' in CFR stand for? I'm assuming that the 'C' stands for custom and the 'R' stands for ride.

3-Since you are building each section of the park (State Fair, Victory Fields, etc.) on separate benches, how do you handle the transportation rides (train, steamboat, etc.) that apparently connect to other sections of the park?

Thanks for the nice comments. Glad you like the park!

1. I needed a 4x4 footprint on the carousel so everything lines up nicely. In a couple of other parks I have used the monster carousel, but for DA, I thought the tea cups worked better. I really really wish there was a grand carousel in game!

2. CFR is custom flat ride, and CTR is custom tracked ride. My understanding is custom tracked rides are pretty simple (relatively, I couldn't make one!!!), while flats are pretty hard to deal with.

3. Except for the State Fair bench, and possibly the entrance bench (not yet built), the train is scenery only. On the SF bench, the train travels underground, and reappears at the station with some slight of hand. The water transport; the steamboat travels around an island in Lake America on the SF bench, basically making a loop. On the Enterprise bench, there are two stations on either end of the bench. The regular water transport boats use the same stations by employing the track intersect cheat.

Crossroads USA is the "Main Street" of Disney's America. It is built to resemble a Civil War era town, and includes Freedom Square, with the Hall Of Presidents, a restaurant, and a dark ride.

Here are a couple of preview pics of the Civil War Main Street, featuring some new CS!

Wow. Just wow. That scenery is amazing as always and you have paid so much attention to detail. I like the Tilt-a-whirl (known as Waltzers here in the UK). The park looks ridiculously good by day or night. Keep up the great work! :D By the way, you said the grandstand was a custom flat ride. What kind of flat ride, because I've never seen a ride that seats its passengers like that before.

P.S. Will this game take less than a year to load? :P
