Loverly, just loverly.

Great detail, this is really looking like a bombed-out WW2 town... Perhaps somewhere in Sicily...

I suggest you check posts #162, 165 and 167. I think you may find something interesting.

Also, Walt had nothing whatsoever to do with the design of Disney's America. He had been dead for almost 30 years before planning ever began. I'm sure he had ideas about U.S. History, (he was a fanatic on the subject), such as Liberty Street and Edison Square, which were to be a part of Main Street in Disneyland CA back in the 1950's. Liberty Street and the Hall of Presidents showed up in WDW Florida as Liberty Square, of course, but Edison Square never really made it, but it is sort of the idea behind the Enterprise area of Disney's America, or at least the Industrial Revolution is the inspiration for that area.

Stay tuned for more!

Something about State Fair was bothering me, and then it hit me! No restaurant! So I built one.

Casey's is named after the iconic Disney character;

It has proven to be one very popular place!

It seems to need some lighting, Especially above the booths and the animation art. I thought the first two images were a bit dark, due to the angle of the sun.

Here are just a few random images from around the State Fair area of Disney's America!

Herbert Sellner, a woodworker and maker of water slides, invented the Tilt-A-Whirl in 1926, at his Faribault, Minnesota, home. Over the next year, the first 14 Tilt-A-Whirls were built in Herbert's basement and yard. The imagineers at Disney's America went to great expense and did massive research to bring back this classic fairground attraction as it first appearred in 1926;

Of course, Chip and Dale are on hand to watch the fun!

Wow! The overview looks so... real! I love the tilt-a-whirl, too!
