Hi everyone... I'm pretty new here too, but never introduced myself. :"> I have a hard time finding my way around - I've even tried to upload some coasters, but they don't appear anywhere. I'm pretty much computer illiterate , and have only a low-grade computer. Me and my kids all love RCT tho, and we have all 3 versions but aren't able to run 3 because our computer can't do it. My daughter and I have just recently started playing with the scenery - didn't even know it was possible before... DUH... LOL Is there a special forum for dummies like me?Welcome g-ride. Enjoy your stay and I'll be looking forward to seeing some of your work.

Welcome to the forums! I would suggest that you just look at what everyone else is building, and see if you can duplicate it, and then add your own touches to it to make it your own. Thats the best way to learn RCT IMO.

Wishing you great and very helpfull times here!
FULLmoonCrazY: allthough I am not a complete computer-illiterate, I also needed quite some time to find my way around the forums, and now and then there are still sthings that I overlooked before ! Just looking around on them a lot did help the most in my case, and when you cannot find the answer in an existing topic, don't be ashamed to just ask anything; you have no idea how many "stupid" beginners-questions are asked here (and were asked by me also ), most people are more than willing to help you out if they can.
Although my computer is well above the minimum requirements for RCT3, this game only works on it with a huge lot of problems and even then as slow as a snail, so I have given up on that one. By now it is a known problem of RCT3.
No, there is not a special forum for "dummies", but if you read through the topics of the forums, you'll encounter a lot of questions from others, and mostly they could be answered.
In the tutorials-section there also is a lot of help and information on the use of scenery, on building and parkmakking etc.
Again, don't be shy and just ask if you cannot find it.
Happy building!

Emergo is right...there is no special spot for 'dummies' here...we don't like to look on people new to the game that way at all.
As to answers to some of your questions, well, we do have a lot of posts previously made so I encourage you to try the 'search' feature at the top of the page...it can often times give you an answer much quicker than waiting for another member to respond.
You are more than welcome to also ask any of the staff for help, same with our great members...despite what a few around here claim once in a while, we were ALL new at one time and worried that we'd be looked upon as 'dummies' too (although some still call me that behind my back!). The vast majority here remember what it was like when starting out and you'll find some very friendly members with a ton of knowledge to share. Don't worry about the 'computer illiterate' stuff...trust me you'll pick it up in no time...I did!
Welcome to the family!

Thanks to everyone! I finally figured out how to upload tracks and even managed to include screenshots! If anyone has some extra time, I'd really appreciate some feedback on the 9 coasters I made... I'm open to criticism - any suggestions to make them better would be appreciated! Please keep in mind that I only started building and theming about a week ago - so be kind! LOLWelcome FULLmoonCRAZY, I hope you enjoy your stay here at the forums.

If you don't want to restrict yourself to default-scenery and still want everybody to be able to open the download, there's a simple feauture to do that: before you save your game for the download, go to the disk-icon upper left of your game-screen, to options, and select "save game with plugin objects exported". Now your save is bigger (so zip it when it gets over a few MB), but all custom objects that you have used will automatically be imported into the objdata-folder of the one who opens it, so everyone can open the game and view/use it.
This goes for all "custom-scenery" you use, only not for the scenery-objects that belong to the WW/TT-expansions packs of the game. They are not considered as being "custom-obects", and if they are used the game can only be opened by players that also have WW/TT installed.
Happy building
