I couldn't find individual cones that would be manipulated in a way to create an angle along the strip of tiles, to create a merge configuration, from one lane to the next. Anyway, I've been to parks where they don't man every booth. Some are closed. I thought I would bring that bit of realisim to the park.

The closed/open signs are supposed to look the same, as it's the message that is supposed to be changed. Not the sign. So having two different scrolling signs wouldn't be a consistant design choice. The lines are just lane designations. Since the road is on park property, otherwise known as a private roadway, the makings could be pink with purple pokadots, if you want to get right down to it.

I used footpaths with road style markings. I could use the parkinglot blocks. But this was a lot easier. There is a lot of roadway throughout the property. And I don't feel like replacing all the path for blocks.

Also, I've created a topic for this project. I plan to continue with the park there.

The cones add a touch of realism, as do the markings. I oint out the obvious. But, as you said the park can do whatever they want since it is private property, but most parks stick with normal road markings, ie. solid white line to designate same direction lanes, double solid yellow line means do not pass traffic in opposite direction, etc.

Sorry for the double post, but I can't edit the other one. AFter re-reading Wolfman's post, I wasn't talking about the scrolling signs, I was talking about the structure of the "gates" being the same. Sorry for not clearing that up.

Oh! Yeah, THOSE are the same. With the exception that the second structure actually has the booths for the parking attendants. I thought that the brick walls, standing alone as one wall, just seemed too thin.

OK. I tried to edit the paths so that there is a white line on either side of the path. There's just no way to make a path with a dashed line down the center. If I tried, there would be no line down one side. Maybe I could import a stripe but that would mean reworking over all the paths outside the mall. ('Cept the sidewalk paths.)

Wild Widerness

A terraformed park for people who are too freaking lazy to terraform a park themselves. It will contain a varied selection of terrains. From lakes rivers rapids and waterfalls, to the river delta, ocean, and beachfront. I'm also planning a sort of desert with rock formations. The current object selection is currently under development. But it's suffice to say that it doesn't contain castles, and abstract objects. Focusing on the wilderness as a natural park-like setting.

Currently, I am hashing out a sort of river. Where it originates at a lake. While I'm pretty much considering the waterfall in this area as complete. I'm concerned that the lake above may appear too small. I don't want to dedicate too much area for the lake, and I would rather make the lake about twice the size, yet make it an irregular shape, possibly larger with a good sized island that would accomidate a mid-sized coaster.

The terraforming around the lake itself is sort of unfinished at this point. I'm more or less asking if the flow for the waterfalls & river match up with the size of the lake. The sandy tiles are the projected path for the river, where it will eventually spread out into a sort of river delta, and eventually meet up with an ocean and a beachfront. As far as the objects I've selected, I'll post images composite images of the menu contents in a couple of hours.

Love it, but yeah, the lake does seem a bit small. I'd go with the island idea.

Either the lake should be smaller, have less water area or the waterfall should have more whitewater.
