@Coastercrew: yes, thanks, I found out the (unofficial) deadline and just managed to send it in 20 minutes before that!!! :woot: (do have an automatic reply from the mailbox that it is received, so I think/hope all went well) And yes, you are right!!! I checked the "no entry signs" still some 20 times before sending - otherwise I could have sent in 2 hours earlier, and I hope I did it well), but they are utmost essential here! Am sooo curious to see your entry,

@ Todd Lee: whatever you have sent in (cannot wait to see it!), even if very uncompleted, you lived up to the promise you made!!! I knew and trusted you would do that, but still "kudoos!!!! for it. (Just by doing it, you cannot disappoint me in any way now, so looking forward to see it, whatever you got done!)
And yes, RL always seems to extract us from the fun of these games. But yes, let's be honest, RL also is far more important than any game, so........ :D

Thanks Becky: such a challenging contest!! I did not plan/want to enter it, due to lack of time in the busy december/january months, but the rules were so intriguing that, after some initial testing, I could not withstand it!!!
Hope everyone, submitting an entry or just working on an entry without sending in, did have as much fun with it as I had.
A great accomplishment of course is, that you even could lure Coastercrew (who seems such a hater of parks in which archy also counts - B) wink to Coastercrew, for I know how also you valued the Happy Holidays-archy/tweaks park that won that contest) into working on this one with enthousiasm!!

And thanks, to all who inspired me to go on with this one and send in somehing.

Believe it or not, there is infact a v.p. entry in the works!! I can assure you, your jaw will hit the floor when you see it! (that should tell you that I'm not working on it alone  ) I will finish the cell park sometime, I definately need to figure out a way to fix the glitches in the park. (shouldn't have ever hacked, I'm too out of practice.)

Sent mine in, it's pathetic... :P

I haven't worked on it since the beginning of December. Real life just has a way of ruining my fun! So, I think we should have special awards given out to those who entered.. Especially a "most disappointing entry" award!

The other day, I thought I had a few minutes to get some work done, (paths, that's right folks, I don't even have a functioning park  ) I noticed some pretty annoying glitches with my scenery. I don't think I'll ever use trainers to build through or stack scenery again!

On the other hand, I can't wait to see what others have done, it'll give me a good taste of what could have been. It's official, RCT deadlines just don't suit my lifestyle.

It doesn't matter if you have or haven't finished your entry for any competition because you've attempted it and that's all that counts. We all can't expect to win this contest can we?. When can we expect to see a winner then?. I can't wait to see everyone's entries soon!. :D

The winner and runner-ups will be announced on Super Bowl Sunday, February 5, 2006.

P.S....I've been testing and looking and testing and looking all afternoon

I need a break for awhile

I can definitely relate. ;)

Especially, where you cannot see the 'no entry' sign because other scenery is blocking your view.

A few times I had to drop peeps at the exit of my coasters to make sure they went the right way. Never did get around to doing this at the end so I hope that 'no entry' sign bug did not bite me.

I usually could tell when peeps had free access to where they shouldn't be by watching the 'Total number of riders?' in a given coaster's 'guest?' window.

The other trick was saving, deleting blocking scenery, examining for 'no entry' sign, then re-loading saved game.

How many parks were submitted?

I tried to keep (at least this one  ) "simpler" : all paths that exit a coaster, are "exclusive" for the leavers of that coaster and have no connection with any other path whatsoever, untill they arrive in the next cell. So if you see anyone on that path going in the other direction, there must be something wrong. Rather clear.
Of course at some points, even the leavers of the coaster want to turn around and return to the coaster they just left. Well, than they can only come at the exit again and have to turn around again as they cannot enter the exit. Still, to keep them in the one-way direction and make sure no one is walking into the wrong direction on these paths, I placed no-entry signs at the points they where liked to turn around, but in fact these signs are not really necessary.

So nice, all those different solutions! :D
