Wow, looks great with the jagged rocks and fire and whatnot.

Totally called it with the Virginia Reels, who's a genius?

That's right, I am.

I like the rocks, but the rest of the theming you put in looks completely unplanned and disorganized.

I agree with him. This last screen just seems way too random, like it was thrown together hastily and without any idea of what it is that you wanted it to look like.

The station doesnt look like its just floating there. I see supports underneath it. I think it looks good. Although I wouldnt have chose glass but I like it. The jagged rocks look nice too.

If I'm not mistaken RNRMontuX, the supports you see are from the queue line, not the actual abstract ride station.

They're still supports, and it looks fine, if you ask me..

I like the rocks, but the rest of the theming you put in looks completely unplanned and disorganized. Overall I really like the look of Aquatopia, especially with the Virginia reel cars. BTW, how is that station floating? I don't see any way that would work in real life. Unless you gave up realism, in which case I still think it looks odd just "floating" there.

You bring up a good point. I wanted to dream up some sort of floating on the water, sort of thing. OR I can put some supports in the water. But I'd loke to see if I can use something to actually make it look like the structure is actually floating on the surface. Somehow.

The foliage, fountains and fire objects are supposed to be random. It helps to create a somewhat natural design and erratic movement, an unpredictable characteristic.

You can still have planned randomness. Like how you did the rocks. The way you did the fountains and scenery just doesn't look good IMO. AS RNRMontuX said, it looked like you had no idea what you wanted to do besides throw a bunch of random pieces together, which IMO turned out bad.

It's fine that you have an opinion, and that you agree with someone who agrees with you, but it's marinersfan59 that you're agreeing with... Not RNRMontuX. So you're wrong when you say you agree with RNRMontuX.

To answer your accusation of "randomness". The rock locations were actually planned, because the track could not occupy the same tiles as the track.

The REAL attraction is guided by laser, controlled by a computer, and generates a totally random path over the water for each vehicle, every time. An asymmetrical design to the fountains and rocks would be counterproductive to the "random" design of the operation of the real attraction.

The fountains in the game version were placed in a totally thoughtful way. Admittingly, the placement was rather limited due to the space that allowed placement of the fountains were randomly available. Which was cool, because I planned on the randomness of the fountain & fire placement from the beginning of this second version., because K0NG makes some reasonable suggestions that clearly mean something. So when I created the second version, I included his suggestions.

The randomness planning of the real ride, actually helped in the locations of the scenery, because the track of the game, limited where the scenery could be placed. Akin to how people create a forest in the game... I didn't want several fountains to be close together ESPECIALLY if they faced the same direction. I tried not to let the fires "line up" in a row either. Which means that... (now hold onto your seats...) the "randomness" was actually planned for. Because this made the fountains and fires look chaotic and random.

So in essence, since it looks random to you, (unfortunately, it also looks bad to you as well,) the randomness of the fountains, fire and rock locations, has been pulled off perfectly. So thanks for your confirmation. I now know my randomness has been successfully executed.

:)
