A few of the sites I remember was the RCT Depot - the cheater's paradise! Always on the cutting edge in modifying RCT. Which was of course Dr. J's website, featuring all kinds of interesting tools and trainers. I can't remember if was called RCT Depot, but there was definitely a Depot in there somewhere!

Actually you are correct twice - there was Cav's RCT Depot way back (around the time you would have first started at Danimation - 99 or so). There was also Dr.J's site - the Technical Information Depot (Dr.J's TID).

Here's some trivia for you - do you remember what Dan's ("Danimator") animated TV show was called and what network it was on?

Some of you may remember me, some of you may not. I'm V Dogg, a former RCT community member. I thought about this site and decided to drop in. Right now, the thing I'm doing is music (as some of you already know). If you like hip hop and would like to hear some of my music, just look up V Dogg on Yahoo or Google. You'll find me easily. Great to see all of yall again, so I'll holla!

800th post.

P.S.: Caw.

Glad to see you are making some success in a tough industry there V Dogg. Hip hop success couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

Nice to see you post again. Next time you stop in to holla - let some of the newer members know a bit of your history with RCT. You know you got some...

Wow.

Reading through this topic, I wasn't going to reply, seeing as how it went back to the summer. Seeing that some people replied to it a few weeks ago, however, I figured I'd throw in my memories.

I was really brought in to the RCT community when I found Danimation. I started playing the game when it first came out, and played solid up until 2004-ish. Then I started college, and all that free time I had went out the window...haha.

The first place I actually submitted anything was WOF. Worlds of Fantasy. In their huge collabo park, I was the person that did yeti, the flying coaster. That started my love of making things for others to see and comment on.

The first major place for me was the Station. I actually wound up as a moderator on the site a short while before it shut down. I always missed that site; while the communities have been great since, nothing else seemed to come close.

I started a club, RCTA (At this point I can't even remember what the A stood for...I think it was Advanced...lol), and left after I was invited to RCTM. I miss Kai and all those guys from that for sure.

I was around NE all the time, and actually (after just looking at it) still have a few parks up...most notably the one park I was proud of, Tinted Shores. It made NE Runner up, and, well, that was my highlight.

I almost forgot...I was a staff member here for a while :) Had a hand in VP.

Looking back, I notice a lot of I's...haha. It's just fun to look back and think about the good times. There are so many names in this topic that I remember, and hopefully a few of you remember me as well. I'm sure I'll be checking back periodically, as I have done in the past (albeit quietly) to see how the RCT community is doing. Thinking about the number of hours I poured into this game make it, in an awkward sense, a part of how I grew up. All of this makes me want to pop in a RCT CD...lol

P.S - HAHA...after posting, I looked at my avatar, and low and behold, my old Tinted Shores avatar. Crazy.

Rct Flame!

Indeed you were on staff here a while back. That was a while ago. Even though you think you used a lot of "I"'s, that is because you did a lot and experienced a lot. It's exactly what we wanted to hear about - the reflections and recollections of those who were here in the RCT communities birth, rise, and heyday.

Thanks for stopping by and adding to the history.

Wow, interesting to see so many people from years ago are still hanging out here. That's so cool!

I don't pop my head in much anymore, but I haven't forgotten you guys. I still mess around with the game from time to time - haven't really done any serious work since my last projects, but I may pick it up again sometime soon.

I truly hope you are all well. And I wish you all the best new year which is quickly approaching!

Take care.

I've been around here and there since 1999 when the original RCT came out (actually, only the demo was out when I started posting at the old RCTOA)....
I was a mod and did the monthly park contest at the old RCTOA, and I've been a mod at a few other of the bigger RCT forums....I bought RCT3 and played it at first, but then I didn't play any RCTs for over a year until I installed RCT3 a month or so ago and began playing it, now I play it often...(I still need to get the expansions)
But those who've been around for a while should remember me...I hope everyone had a Happy Holiday and hope to see you guys around the forums more often now that the RCT bug has bitten me again...
Take Care,

VooDew5
