I has a brilliant idea:

modify the games coding to make the game the way we want it, kinda like HALO custom edition......

Let us know when you are finished.

Ya still got me! I love rct2, it doesn't matter that it was made 8 years ago.
I've got tons of downloads on rct2objectlist.com if you want to check them out.

I think that if there was an RCT4, the series could live on. Even I've lost interest in the series, and I hardly come here anymore. Well, RIP RollerCoaster Tycoon (1999-2005 or 2006).

Rct is still breathing. So
rct: 1999-2010 so far.

Dude, you apparently have no idea how "interested" a good number of people still are and, most likely will be for quite some time. RCT4, if done properly, would absolutely resurrect the games popularity. Possibly to a height previously unseen. But at the same time, if RCT4 is anything like RCT3...it'll still just be us dedicated, committed (or soon to be so) die-hards that trudge on, undeterred by the likes of the naysayers like yourself.

When I said 2005/2006 as the last year, I meant that was the last RCT game or expansion ever released. I'm aware that there are still plenty of RCT fans out there to this day.

BTW, when will the ride exchange be back online? I've been waiting for the exchange to be fixed.

Not for some time, I'm afraid. DoctorJ has to fix a bug in his ride decoder first, but both he and rcthelp have other projects on at the moment.

Things might be slow now, but I wouldn't be surprised at a revival. I have to admit, I hadn't played the original rct for almost 10 years. but I've pulled it back out for the nostalgia. It's still very addicting.
