Carousel of Progress would make for a great in-park history class!! :P Space Mountain is taking shape, too. You have some big updates in short times, there!

Wolfie Singing: It's a great big beautiful tomorro-o-o-o-w!
No. The carousel of progress was originally a show created for the1964-1965 New York Worlds Fair. It showcased the electical industry and showed how it helped the nation to grow and prosper. It featured a stationary stage, because the animatronics made it impossible to rotate the stage. So the building, and thusly, the audiance, was rotated around it instead. YouTube has severaL vintage videos of Disney goes to the World's Fair.

Now, back to the topic: Space Mountain.
Yes! I did complete the structure! intended for the dueling coasters I plan to install within. The structure is 41 tiles across, and 130 ft. tall. It'll be taller once I get those spires (antennas) built. ;) This happens to be the third and largest Space Mountain I've created. Enjoy the images and be sure to follow the link and listen as "Uncle Walt" explains the Carousel of Progress.

That dude must literally be your uncle... no one but him (and you) could ever make this.

NICE!

A good history class for the 60's, that is! And the future too.

HOLY CRAP!! Wolfie, you Sir, are the best structure creator I have ever seen in RCT2!!!

Woah thats big.

Almost too big. Is it bigger than the Epcot sphere? If so i'd resize it as the sphere is your centre piece and it would look a bit odd having a bigger stucture to the side of it. Just a thought.

Well, it didn't take as long as I thought it would. I'm glad to say that two B & M coasters managed to find their way inside the structure, and tangle themseve's up within. But first, here's a few pics on the tracks. Ratings will follow shortly...

So I had to provide space for a the future installation of the People Mover, (yellow texture) and I designed the tracks to sit in a pit. So all that configuration had to be brought into the current "working" park. Duplicated the layout of the pit and the yellow textures, under the completed structure.

The spired were the last thing that I was able to construct. And I think I have a few final touches to include on the mountain. But for the most part, the attraction is ready.

That would be me....the morning after inhaling two carne asada burritos
from Alberto's  .

And, I have to say that......those would be SO much more impressive with
just a little bit of variation in them. Instead of being absolutely
symmetrical, all white, block bunches. Take that as I MEAN that....
they're impressive. A little less so because of how you've 'assembled' them
around a static ride base so as to basically 'copy and paste' identical parts
together. I mean, you really only made 1/4 of that and rotated everything.

And made three gihugic 'domes' that all resemble each other. That also
resemble the entire 'midway' setup. Granted, it looks good from above...
but...it's the same thing repeated over and over and over again.
Like the entire Tom Petty catalog.

You say the 'midway' prevents peeps from getting lost. These are RCT peeps
I'm sure......because a human being, going around all that big, identical white
stuff in a big monotonous circle..would get lost for sure. And, probably a bit
dizzy.

Glad to see you revive this project.....I'd almost been waiting to see where
you were going with this while it sat idle.

And...apparently 'realism' never entered your mind with the "Space Mountain"
layouts....and, I'm not saying they SHOULD have. Except that you call it
"Space Mountain" so, I was expecting a better layout. "Ultimate" or not...
you even said that the layouts took almost no time at all.

It shows.

It's actually fun to look at and.....I honestly DO want to see more.

I'd just like to see something not so..."pre-fabricated".

So, it's obvious that the burritos that caused all this hot air, am I right?
