Congrats you three for getting a mod spot. I'll be sad to see wagi and Becky leave as mod, but atleast they will still be here. On a side note I signed up at the job fair for mod, since i wasn't chosen this time(don't see why I wasn't) can't I be next time, because I was told once a spot appears I may come in too. Anyways, congrats and happy new year.

Staff members are chosen from people who have expressed an interest, as well as those other members we have noted as being exceptional members and someone we think might make a good staff member. We take into account the member's standings here, how active and helpful they are, length of time they've been here, level of maturity and we also take into account things like volunteering for things like judging contests, etc. and whether they followed through.
Just because a member signed up during a job fair does not guarantee a position, but they most certainly will be considered. You may have been told that you would be considered whenever a spot became open, but that doesn't mean you automaticly get one, in fact we consider many people. There's also no guarantee for 'next time' either, as that depends totally on the site's needs at that point in time, and who we have who may fill those needs.
