I play all my rct games on vista (rct1 with both expansions, rct2 with both axpansions, and rct3 with both expansions.)

They work just fine.

I Had this exact problem(with rct1 and both expansions)
I *kind of* fixed it by installing rct deluxe (my friends copy, but if you have both expansions, I don't think anyone would mind you downloading and illegal copy if you can't get a legal one) and it works now, but I can't install the drexler patch now, so that is my problem now, I really want to get back into rct1 but I need the Drexler patch to do that. I have all the CD's for RCT (1,2, and 3 with all expansions in UK and US versions) available.
EDIT:I think that it would solve my problem if someone could send me a copy of everything the drexler patch changes (after patched) (the rct.exe, ect.) so that I can have the game patched and I could make a version of the drexler patch (pending approval) to work with rct deluxe for everyone who has a copy of rct deluxe (which is the only version sold in stores anymore, at least in N. America). If you are interested in helping me, send me an email, if you cannot find my email adress, PM me and I'll PM it to you.

I realize that you can buy it online, but I'm talking about Brick and mortar stores.
My point was that alot of people have deluxe.
And you are saying "not" to people not being able to buy any other versions and not to my idea to make something similar to a drexler patch for everyone who does have deluxe.

Yes, I was disagreeing with Deluxe being the only version sold in stores. Online is a store just as is Brick and Mortar. In fact, many folks don't buy software in meatspace anymore - but only online where the selection and prices are better.

I wasn't at all saying NOT to a patch for Deluxe. I support your efforts to do that as it would be a benefit to the Community. Sorry for not being clear.

No, you were clear, I was just confusing myself. But I still need an .exe (and other stuff that the drexler patches) donor to make my patch, I'm calling out "PLEASE IF YOU HAVE RCT1 WITH LL AND CF AND THE DREXLER PATCH INSTALLED, PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO HELP" if you don't know how to help me but would like to help me, PM me and I'll tell you how.
Thanks, and sorry for highjacking this thread :( .

I've had this before. I added too many files to the obj data folder and it kept doing it over. The way I fixed it was to reinstall.

Uninstall as you want. After uninstall, move all the files under RCT2 that you want to keep to another folder. Reinstall RCT2. Run it a couple of times to make sure it works, then slowly add files to the obj data folder and run it every so often.

Upperlevel, If you're not using win 95 or 98 forget about drexler.
The code for it has never been updated, to my knowledge, to work with anything beyond those OS.
Shame, it and the TRG trainer were a kick tail combination.
