Will also try if I can use the offending scenario after all; it might after all have been a temporary glitch. I'll let you know.

Works, too - removed offending scenario and objects, started RCT, ended RCT, put said scenario and objects back, started RCT again, works.

Thank you all very much!
Alex

I know this post has been out for two months or so, but I figured out that after loading a map off the internet (that had scenery you didn't have before), you have to restart your session of windows (log out and log back in) before you can successfully gain new objects in the same way. This proved much MUCH faster than going through the whole "checking object files" loading bar three times (above method), especially when you have alot of scenery (both game and custom). Anyways, after downloading a saved game (or scenario) off the internet I make sure to log out and back in if I have recently done so (in the same session with another saved game file).

I have started to have this error. I downloaded a scenery group from rctrevalutions, and I have a loading error. The game checked the objects (all 9000 of them :D) and then went into the black screen for rct2. Then, the 2nd loading bar would advance 3 points and then start repeating that over and over again. I tried to re-download it and replace it and it seemed to do the trick. But it also removed all the other custom scenery that I saw before. So ... now I have to rely on groups to choose scenery. Anyone know how to fix this?

   ??

No, never heard this before, and even having problems to imagine how this works then.....
Do you mean you just can choose complete scenery-groups now, but no longer separate objects?

Another thing (or the same???): you mention having 9000 objects in your ObjData-folder???

If that is still true, let us know, for then there for sure will be another problem: your ObjData folder will just be too full, resulting in the fact that you cannot scroll anymore in the small scenery-tab.....which is a known problem that every player has encountered sooner or later.

And this is the rct2 screens from the scenario editor.

The weird thing is that I still can import objects without incident.

Have you tried taking the two folders out of the objdata folder and then loading up RCT2?

Yep. small scenery is the problem because the name is not shown, but you choose the objects in order. What I mean is that the names are wrong, but you choose between the lines.

The 2 sub folders would have no effect on the game as it don`t see them. I have them in my objdata folder, more then 2 lol.
Some small scenery don`t have the name in all languages when the creator made them so they don`t show, if there`s a ingame name at all.

yeah, about 20 of them don't have an in game name, but I should have 5000+ small objects in the tab, and I only have 100+ to select? That's the problem which arose from me adding a piece of scenery.
