I was wondering if I could pull out of the contest, some stuff came up and I won't have much time for RCT2 (maybe some time). But not enough for a contest.

***I'M ONLY SAYING THIS ONCE SO READ CAREFULLY***

I know that once we pull out we can't re-enter the contest. I don't plan to re-enter even if I could. Don't worry I'm not leaving the site, I'm stilling working on the Card CLub Resort, which will be submitted Spring/ Summer 2007.

I'm not going to repeat myself, so please keep this on record!!!

 Sorry....I just was laughing while I was reading this cuz it sounds so bossy...

You certainly can be taken off, but let me try talking you out of it...
DISADVANTAGE OF STAYING IN - You will have a win/loss record of 0-1 going into April
ADVANTAGES OF STAYING IN - Other people will probably join the ladder in April and you won't be at the bottom even with a 0-1 record because you have already been seeded.
You are the one who needs to challenge someone, therefore you pick the challenge. If you don't have much time, challenge someone with an unthemed coaster...make it easy on yourself...and who knows? You might challenge someone and THEY don't turn in an entry and then guess what??? BINGO, you win.

Also, as you said, if you just quit...you QUIT..you are out for the year.

But, if you want to get out, just pm me..I'll take you off, I only ask that you consider all the possibilities...because there will probably be months that others will not have time to do anything, but they can still stay on the ladder.

Changing the subject and this is for EVERYONE - I've put the members who have not been challenged or made challenges in blue so they stand out better...easier for you to pick and choose ;)

hey becky i have a question. say the cryptox does drop out, and people pare up according to 3 rungs above, that would mean that two people would end up stuck without an opponent three rungs above them. in that case would those two be paired up or would they both not get to enter that month. just wondering. either way...PLZ SOMEONE CHALLENGE ME!!!! :saint:

You don't HAVE to pick someone three rungs above you...you can pick someone UP TO three rungs above you....and don't freak yet...

IF it works out that people are left out by virtue of how people paired up, I will allow people to go beyond the '3 rung' rule...IF I HAVE TO

But lets see how it plays out first....everyone has a few days here yet to post challenges.

I like this contest idea but I can't stop thinking that you can almost win on default already by making the challenge that hard .... for example I could say "I challenge ... to make a rct2 shoestring coaster which takes longer than 8 minutes and has 4 splits in it and comes together later..." that would let me almost win on default because that's pretty hard for others .... so as challenger you could almost make sure winning by chosing your best skill and challenge the other in that :) .
another example would be sculpterig, there are a few people who can make really nice qbb sculptues, if they challenge someone from who they know that they can't do that they have almost won by default ....

but if such idea's wont be used this could be a very intresting contest :) .

just one question, you said that people can step in later in the season. atm I dont have much time but maybe in two months I have and I will participate, do I need to challange one of the lowest 3 on the ladder or will I first be ranked and can I challenge someone after that or is there another rule .... ?

The challenges should NOT be that complex Levis, I've said before to keep it simple.

If you want to sign up later you can but you won't be ranked. You will be slotted in at the bottom of the ladder as you sign up.

Becky, may I change my challenge to allow trainers to increase money? I didn't realize that I said that, and no one can make a large wooden coaster with only $10,000.

You can always use a NO MONEY scenario or saved game to do this.

I want to challenge both trave and coastercrazy, but I think I will challenge coastercrazy for strategic purposes.

Objective:
Build a 15X15 mini in RCTLL that is peepable and has one roller coaster and shops and stalls. No other working rides may be used, period.

Terms:
  • Any and all trainers are allowed. However, modifications of the workbench aren't.
  • The coaster/park must be medieval-themed, and it must be complete.
  • None of the park may be left empty.
Good luck, cc!
