You probably have enough, but I'll be around in case.

  :D

Look at the amount of answers!!

Judging is obviously far more popular than sending in a - quality- entry! :P

But seriously: I think it is one of the wonderfull things of this site that for a rather "big" award like the VP, also members are involved to judge, aside the "professional" judges.

Personally I think that it would be a good and justified mix to have half of the "member-judges" just, at random, members that volunteer for it, and the other half of the "member-judges" consisting of members that want to judge and have themselves won a relatively big prize (VP or comparable large thing). So to make sure that also some of the members know what it means to plan and finish a larger project.

And in the luxurious circumstances that so many members are eager to judge, I also think it would be a good (democratic) thing to give preference to the volunteers that have not been judging before. (Sad, to say this, because I myself have been juding once already, but the level was too low, so nothing came out of it, but I love to judge , and by my own standards I will not have a chance anymore in a long time, but tat does not change my thoughts about it)

Whatever, Looking forward to see Ultra's VP ! :D

Nah, just easier. More would send quality entries if they didn't take weeks and weeks to complete, only to wait 20 days for the result and likely get turned down. Voting's probably a piece of cake in comparison.

It is in comparison but it shouldn't be taken lightly. This is VP, your judging could be the difference between a park winning or losing. That's why you should be serious when you're judging and really think about all aspects of the park.

True. But more are probably willing to invest tie to judge and vote than to actually invest time in making a park. I wasn't trying to devalue voting's importance.

Judging takes a few hours...

Can you guess how long it takes to "build" a vp park...

^ That can also depend on how fast you build. Some people just build faster than others. Me, I can sort of be both. The fastest I ever had to work was on my survivor entry. A 40x40 park in four days. Not easy for me.

Not to rub this in, but I did mine in two days. And I'm still in :P.

That shows haw people are on different levels and can build quicker than other people. :phew:

Yeah, those contests clearly favor those who can set aside everything in their life for a couple days and those who can build fast. Being a father of 3 with a full time job, I'm not either of those.

Which is why I was voted out in the 5th round in Survivor and why I'm not in the Road Rally finals.
