If I understand you correctly (which I probably didnt, because you didn't go into where you get the problem), you're not hacking in both directions. You have to follow this tutorial exactly as listed above. You could also have one of the tracks going in the wrong direction.

Is it possible to use this hack to make and operable Intamin Rocket Coaster using the only two available Intamin tracks (Giga Coaster and Inverted Impulse Coaster)?

I believe it can be done. I've tried it, and merging to the impulse is weird, becuase you have to be on the inside of the track. It requires many merges. giga to B&M or LIM track up to vertical, B&M or LIM track into impulse track, impulse track back into B&M or LIM, B&M or LIM track back into giga track, and repeat the process on the way down. I wouldn't suggest it, as I was unable to successfully merge with the impulse. There are other ways to pull it off, though. How you do it is up to you.

You can use the same type, two intamin giga coasters and it should look pretty good. But I think Postit explained it quite well. Also it is possible to make a rocket coaster without using two rides. Just use an alternate color schemes for each merge.

Hm, I'm not sure about the second thing you said, Ultra. Why would I use two different gigas to make a Rocket Coaster when the Impulse has the vertical track?

Postit: I'll have to try that for Storm Runner in my HP recreation.

He means that when you do the merge, you don't have to open a new ride called "giga coaster 2", to do the second merge. You can do the second merge with the original track painted an alternate color scheme.

Good luck with Storm Runner. I don't think I've seen it exactly right yet.
