Nice, I love that station structure, it's a good break from the white-chrome-future feel, while still seeming futuristic.

Autopia looks good too, shorter than the one you made back.. two summers ago, but still looks like a great go-kart track to race around on.

This was a cool little break from the usual flatland projects.
Some track had to be moved to allow some structure elements to be built.
Unfortunately, the go cart track doesn't like to share the tiles, with walls.
Not like other tracked rides will. It's sort of like always working against a
station track section. So that was a challenge of sorts.

Then one POV was blocked by Spaceship Earth... I'm not exactly looking forward to filling the final inner quarter.

Heres a few shots without the golf ball in the way...

One thing I added, was some humorous advertisements.
One says "See Space Mountain" and the other was sponsored by
"Mysterious Island Realty". The scrolling signs on top say...
"If you lived here... You'd be home by now."

Lol, nice. Like the little advertisements, seems like you're racing down a twisty, futuristic highway. Nice job.

Enough people have told him that but it's his park just cause it's to do with disney doesn't mean it has to look just like disney. It could be your own interpretation of disney. With "Up!" like a house with balloons above it. I know its not really futuristic but it would be nice to see how it is pulled off. One ride I didn't think of that should be added is apocalypse! I love that on in Paris a lot... ;)

I'm thinking that you might want to call it "Ultimate Futureland" or something just to get the Disney honks off your back.

Nope. Sorry. But the honks at NE don't belong on my back in the first place. It's just an excuse for them to decend on another person's work, and fight over it. They've contradicted themselves along several important matters. (theming and structure design.) So I've cut them off. They can argue about it all they want. I don't care to be the object of their scorn. Admittedly, it was a mistake for me to go there. Displaying images of a park there is akin to asking for it's inevitable demise. Sort of like how a whale beaches itself to die, and the seagulls and crabs come to whittle away at it until theres nothing left but a pile of bones.

Anyway. I've done a bit more work. This is "Meet the Robinsons". Another omnimover attraction.

This is what I put together in the same area last week. Inside was a few flat rides and another Omnimover.

It's not like I'm offering a choice here.
It's more like I opted to do something different than what I originally constructed in the first place.

I like the first one much better, so well done!

The big backwards "R" looks cool.

Screen 1: I like the dino over the entrance to Meet the Robinsons. Your monorail probably should be raised 5 ft, or smaller trees/bushes should be used around it.

Screen 2: Why is there pink glass behind the backwards 'R'? Also the back walls of MTR could use some windows/doors, anything to add detail.

Screen 3: That yellow and orange building also needs some detailing on the walls. Also, I'd try to vary the rooves some in that same building.

Screen 4: Again, your walls lack detail, as do you rooves in every screen. This isn't a Disney complaint, this is a general RCT complaint. I know you have potential, but you're architecture is still really blocky to me. You can improve a bunch by adding small details.

1A. Thanks about the dino. I thought it was a pretty exciting and funny part of the movie. It brought a laugh to my mind.
But I was wondering if anyone would make the connection.

1B. Monorail track height: You need to understand what's involved with this suggestion...

I tried to keep the monorail tracks at a constant level. No hills to climb or drops, to ensure a smooth and speedy attraction. No trains struggling to go uphill and no sudden drops. That's the design element that makes the monorail a consistant ride.

The monorail tracks lead through several major archetectural elements. Some are designed around the monorail tracks to be at that particular height. The archetecture throughout the park is interconnected to the monorails. So height changes effect a lot more than you may think.

Raising the tracks of the monorail is going to lead to making changes nearly all over the park, (including Space Mountain,) as well as changes to a second monorail system, let alone rebuilding all of the stations, there are waterfalls, lava flows, tunnel & mountain heights, ornimental structures etc.

All that additional revised work just so I can raise the tracks five feet? Sorry, I'm not going to change everything that the monorails are interactive with to raise the track a single level. We keep coming back to this subject. "No height changes" And that's my final answer Regis. (And don't give me that crap about "not taking advice".)

1C. Thanks for the idea of using shorter trees. I might just do that. The whole deal here was that I was concerned about the semi-tropical weather, it's a hotter climate with less rain, that, having shade out on the midway might be important. The jungle themed plants sort of counter-balances or gives a "contrast" to the futuristic theme.

In effect, it's supposed to show us that mankind finally got it's act together, and letting the earth revert back to a vegitative state, while living a more environmentally sound existance within our ecology, with the aid of an advanced technology. This helps drive the idea of a greener future for the earth. I'm really surprised that nobody has picked up on that. Even more surprised that they actually like to complain about it.

Anyway... I based the height of the monorail tracks to accompany the trees that are beneath, for clearance purposes. This is so I can use the jungle tropical trees I want, give a nicer presentation to the footings and possibly hide the supports of the monorail track, and make the midway more interesting with a planter running down the center.

You might have noticed that the outter circular midway has a planter, and the inner circle midway does not. Between the two? I like the one with the planter. It helps give a bit more detail that I knew that a futuristic theme may lack.

2A. I had imagined that the opening might serve as a window. But the structure never actually reached that height. It was easy to access the back of the tower at the time, so I added the glass. It was only after I had made the screenshot that I realized that I should of deleted it. So it got deleted before the final save. So, it's gone now.

2B. Windows will be added. The futuristic architecture of the movie, was quite cartoony. So the thickly framed windows might fit in well here. I just didn't want to go overboard with the windows.

3. I don't know what you're talking about. Are you talking about the orange/yellow wing of MTR? or the structure in the last two images? Because the structure in the last two images? IT's gone.

4. Please direct your complaints to the Monsanto Corporation.

No, seriously, I'll try to get something in there. I just don't know what to do about it just yet.

It's easy to put detail into structures that are historic, such as Colonial, Old World or Victorian architectures. Because these architectures are well known and recognizable.

How can you determine if a particular architecture would have trim or texture details, especially if the architecture doesn't exist? That's what I'm struggling with. It's difficult.
:>

So it ends up in my lap to portray what future architecture is going to look like. And chances are, it's not going to match up exactly with what your vision is for the future. One person's ideals rarely suits everyone. So I do the best I can. I hope you understand.

I just have to say, Sorry. That's what it looks like to me. I can come back and add a bit later. Complaining about it only makes you feel better, because it doesn't measure up to whatever standard you set for yourself. But "complaining" doesn't make the builder feel any better.
:(
Fine & dandy. You can complain about it all you want. But suggestions on what to do about it to improve... THAT'S the tough part, isn't it? Because you end up facing the exact same vortex that I'm staring down... What's all this supposed to look like anyway? There's nothing really to base it upon.

Without a definition, there IS no detail. And adding any detail isn't going to pacify everyone. Coupled with the fact that the CS for RCT 2 falls way too short in trying to define the archetecture. It's like looking up a word in the dictionary, and finding no definition for it. The situation is pretty much "lost". So I made it up as I went along. I took the "minimalist/less is more" approach, hoping that a Revelation would miraculously come through, and I can put in those details in there that everyone seems to be screaming for.

You can see that I have come a long way since the stark white structures that I started out the park with. But I'm not here to make non-discript futuristic architecture that is going to make everyone happy. You can see how that would lead to endless revisions as you attempt to satisfy every opinion.

You can't please everyone, so you got to please yourself.

Now, do something about those fountains you put in a 10 ft. pit. And I'll work on getting some details into these structures.
:P
