Thanks for the reply K_W. I can add the last few images for the update now.

Remember, it's continued from post #149

This structure is representative of Mission Space. This structure turned out to be more experimental.
Mostly because it turned out to be a tad bit larger than I had expected. So I have to put the attraction in a larger area.
Not only that, but I have to make it slightly larger, so I can lead the Queue and Exit paths up and out of the structure.

The attraction is going to consist of four Enterprise rides, arranged underground, beneath some raised land tiles.
Since the Mission Space attraction IS a centrifuge type ride, that has cabins that can be rotated, to give you the feeling of weightlessness.
The Enterprise seems to fit the bill nicely. In the images below, you can see the original site of Mission Space, and the sandy X...
off in the corner of the map, will be the new location. I am planning to duplicate the structure.

You may have noticed a red coaster track, over by the nuclear cloud observation elevator.
It's called "The Impossibles". This track design MIGHT go through some sort of evolution.
As I do want to enclose at least a portion of it sometime.

That's it for the update. I'll try to post more before the week end.

@ K_W:

That's cool of you...
But I have a general idea now.

I think I've seen every video about it on YouTube.
From how it was made, who designed the project,
to everyone who ever launched their cookies.
And I can probably recite the narration verbatim.

Of course I'm kidding.

About the launched cookies part.
But the videos were helpful.
It's too slow to get any sort of nausea.
Unless you would happen to be the nauseous type.

I had a nightmare last night. About a doombuggy pile-up, in the mirror room, of the Haunted Mansion. It was sic!
About 20 each of the hitch-hiking ghosts And the vehicles kept coming and coming. All to that funky bass lick.
Thurl Ravenscroft singing "Grim Grinning Ghost" and at one point, Eddie Murphy was there. It happened so quick.
Then I woke up. I laughed over it though. I kinda wished that there was some sort of tivo for dreams.

Wolfie.. I don't even know what to say about that... dream... I think you should see a doctor or something...

Lol, looks good, though. I love the layout of the Increadibles coaster, and the awning-roofed building looks FREAKING AWESOME!

That awning/building is Mission Space. And the location of the structure was in a space that was far to small.
So I rebuilt it in the far corner. It turned out pretty good. One of the things that's always needed is space.
Otherwise, the attractions will look crammed into a small space. And that's why the coaster
is going to be relocated and redesigned...
eventually.

If you had wings and Adventure through inner space had facade updates. Pennant flags and signs.

The monorail track inside the Space Mountain dome was on level too low.
I really wanted the track to be flat.. on one level. No drops or rises.
I think it gives a smoother ride and a consistant speed. So that it operates properly.

I included the map, so you can see that the park still has some great usable space left.
From what I see, I can add at least 10 more attractions. The quadrant with the 6 & 8,
COULD be used for one larger attraction, like a coaster or some large attraction.

Well, it's off to work I go!

Wolfman,

I think you're doing a great job on this park, but there are also a few things I think you could do a bit differently to improve it and make it feel a little more Disney. I realize it's a fantasy park, and you're putting your own twist on it (like some bigger rides), but in my opinion at least I would expect some of the style (more than a few shoutouts to old rides) to remain in the Disney mentality.

One thing I think you're missing a little bit of are shops. You might just not be showing them, but shops are a major part of Disney parks, even in Tomorrowland. They can serve a few purposes in your park I think, such as taking up some of the room so it's not just ride after ride throughout the whole park, which makes things seem cluttered in some parts and barren in others. You could also use them to help hide some of the paths you have coming out of buildings. Disney likes its ride exits to be through a gift shop, so you could use this feature to help buildings (Inner Space is a great example of what I mean by this, with the red paths coming out of a white building.

You could also hide some of these paths with a sheltered queue line, having it enter the building hidden underneath the roof of the shelter. On the same note, one thing I'm not too fond of is the entrances to the underground area. I think they stick out too much, and there should be something that can be done to make those fit in better.

That stuff said, I think you're doing a great job with attention to detail on this park. The Mission Space area looks pretty nice, it's an original design that I think was pulled off and made to fit in it's surroundings well. I even spotted the hidden Mickeys with it (tree circles as ears) - yet another light touch and attention to detailing. You also did a very nice job on Space Mountain and EPCOT ball - those buildings are no easy task to build. This is one of the few parks that I've got my eye on right now as having potential for awards.

Yes. Shops and stalls or "stores" are on the back burner. I always have that aspect in the back of my mind. Especially recently. This has been brought up over at NE, so it's been a subject that has been brought to my attention. I may have to do some redesign to some of the existing structures. And even if I have to redesign the layout of a few rides, I'll put some retail space inside them.

You could also hide some of these paths with a sheltered queue line, having it enter the building hidden underneath the roof of the shelter. On the same note, one thing I'm not too fond of is the entrances to the underground area. I think they stick out too much, and there should be something that can be done to make those fit in better.

The problem with hiding a queue, is that the sign over the queue, cannot be hidden with a simple roof object at clearance level over a path. It seems to peek through, or is only partially hidden. The roof has to be higher in order for the sign to be hidden properly. I think that I would rather see the scrolling sign, than see a monsteroulsy oversized structure used in an attempt to hide it. I'm more in the frame of mind concerning the attractions, and what I plan to include. Rather than run around the park, trying to "fix" all the things that a just one person can't deal with.

I'd have to say, hang in there. Let me get the attractions done, then hit the retail spaces, then I'll get to the tweaking. Otherwise I'll be running around the park trying to please everyone, and not actually getting the important stuff... like the attractions. Big stuff first, details later. Thanks Kevin. Good advice.

=====================================================================

Another old attraction made it's way onto the grounds. Captain EO. Again, another multiple below-ground attraction. This time, it's the 3-D theaters. The structure was designed so that the queues were located inside the structure. Far enogh so that the queue signs were located under a higher roof level. In the third image, you can see how things worked out. I went with an external support design. I saw this sort of thing on a cable documentary.

The funny thing? Is that the construction contractor of the real world structure, (it was a sports arena,) had changed the original support design, that severely limited the weight that the structure could hold. And after the first big snowfall, the roof of the structure had collapsed. Just hours before, there was a full crowd of people in the structure for a basketball game... Thankfully, nobody had died. But hey, it don't snow in RCT. So no problems... Right? :>

The only problem I have with this stuff....as well as most of what you build.....is the repetitiveness of it. It seems like you'll find something that's cool, and WAY overuse it. Like your 'jumping fountains' that seem to permeate almost everything you do. Take this the way I mean this.....use the cool ideas more as an 'addition' in one certain area instead of putting them EVERYWHERE and being the norm. Used sparingly, a lot of what you come up with is really sweet. But, IMO, when you just flood a midway with the same thing, over and over..you lose what makes those things cool by the abundance of it all.

I happen to think it looks great, Wolfie. Put a couple of flags at the front just to make it seem less... symetrical, I guess you could say.

The structure for The Incredibles coaster.

Choke on it.

Honestly, why did I bother to start working again on this park again,
when all I get is a bunch of negative crap?
