This describes me perfectly! I place buildings here and there, but can't seem to be able to fill in every square with architecture.... As it is right now, I'm only about 15-20 % complete.
And to make my situation worse, I'll be on vacation for 5 days starting this weekend. I would rather stay home and work on my park, but my wife insists that we go to Disneyland!

Oh well, I guess I'll get points in heaven for this...

Disneyland? You'll be coming back with tons of new ideas! :woot: Plus, it's beats having to move :(

Just keep studying the road rally parks like I'm trying to do and incorporate a little of the archy. That's about all us coaster builders can wish for. I'm glad someone else is in the same predicament as me. :wait:

Maybe we should hire Emergo to build out our parks? :P

Nay, let just beat'em.

Lol! !
yes, it seems you can call it that.
But that is only because nobody else is posting here.
So, come on and join the discussion, I would say...

I'm hoping that people are lurking here, but plan on submitting an entry. I'm pretty sure I won't win, but I really want to see other entries... It should be interesting to see what direction others have taken in this contest. :)

I hope so too! and riven...I already said what you said in the staffroom... I do hope we get a good turnout for this...just to remind those that are just now catching up to this contest...

It's not due until JANUARY 29....so still lots of time to turn in an entry everyone! ;)

Anyway, what's the latest status with your parks?

riven3d, I was hoping to get some input from others out there besides my two buddies. I guess I should have worded this like everyones parks.

Anyway, I've just been having a lot of fun conversing with Todd and Emergo regarding the strategy of this contest. Experimenting with and sharing what I've learned so that no one's left out in left field.

I really would like to know who else out there is building a park and if they have anything to share. I think this contest is pretty amazing for me because it gives us coaster builders a chance at winning over those archy types. :P

So how are your cells coming along? Are you getting a decent peep flow? Are you taking the conservative approach like those other archy types or are you a coaster builder like Todd and I?

As I mentioned in an earlier thread, my 7 cells are pretty solid in terms of rides and landscape and now I have the next seven weeks to build the archy (or should I say learn how to build it, then build it).

Anyone else out there have something to share? B)

I would also like to hear who else is entering, or thinking of entering. I hope anyone that is participating at this point will turn in whatever they have done, even if it is a skeleton park. (Mine will most definately be a skeleton park, I'm soooo slow :geek: !)

Right now, my park has ___ cells  , with 1 of them very near completion. I've got __ out of __ coasters built, but I think I'm going to scrap 1 or 2 of them.. Not too satisfied with the peep flow through them! I'm actually completeing my cells starting with # __, and ending with # 1. I've only tested the peep flow 2 times, with pretty much no rides operating other than the coasters... So I guess you could say I have TONS of work to do!

Hey, I'm back from my big move. My body is aching all over and I'm ready to drop. I spent 2 1/2 insane days cleaning out the old house and moving all my junk into the new one.

Today, I worked all day setting up my office and wiring up the computers and now I'm back. :P

I was hoping to see some feedback from other than Todd and Emergo, but I guess not yet. I've got another week or so of unpacking, so I won't be doing much with my park until xmas.

Todd, are you keeping me guessing on the number of cells that you have?

There's also six more weeks before the deadline. I built quite a bit of my park in the first six weeks and that included a lot of experimenting, re-working, and tweeking, so there is still plenty of time to get more than just a skeleton completed. Well if you're not as slow as some of us!

Well Coastercrew, quick job you did!!

Yes, pity no one else joins this discussion.

Todd is away for a few days, to Disneyland. I had some computerproblems, solved now, but still have to do some cleaning from that etc. (have not even yet seen the last Happy Holidays!).

So all in all, you will not be "behind" with anything <img>

Enjoy your new house!

So.... anybody still working on this?? I don't expect coastercrew to report for at least a few days, and Emergo sounds busy for a few days as well.

Well, anybody else in this yet?

I haven't done much for a week, but if you do want a small sample of what I have done, it's in my sig!

And yes coastercrew, I'm keeping everyone guessing as to how many cells I have.
