Hey Emergo,

I got my park going this morning before the boxes took over and had happy peeps through 3 1/2 years!  :P  I think most of the downward park rating had to do with the puke and lack of food/rides in the later cells (only cells 1 and 2 were built out).

I have one major revision to potentially do, but it's a trade off between making peeps happy and making judges happy.  What's your take on this?

Dude, I saw your year end road rally winner and the scenery is awesome.  I won't be able to measure up to that with the limited workbench/experience, but anyway congratuations.

You should try to find some time to make an entry to keep me honest.  Ya know to push me along with the scenery stuff.  I definitely got a boost seeing that amassing work!

I'm glad I have another 7+ weeks.  This is definitely the best chess match I've experienced with RCT2.! B)

Well, wow! 3 1/2 years seems quite some achievement to me, with the many cells you have!

As it is said in the first post of this topic, and repeated later on, judging will take into account many aspects: the flow of the park, the happiness of peeps, the peeps that make the whole circuit, but also the scenery/architecture and the landscaping.
So, if your trade off does not make the peeps too unhappy, it does not seem wrong to do something "to please the judges" :D although it can be difficult to find the right balance. (nice to hear that you got inspiration from my work. Thanks! :D )

Yes, I'll certainly try to find time to make an entry. Better, I already started one, only have no idea if I will be able to finish it in time. If not it will just come later and may be released as a normal park. Up till now I also have problems finding the best balance between the working of this one and the "beauty" of it.
Indeed kind of a chess match!

Happy moving, and hope it will be a quick one, so I can very soon say "happy building" again!

Well, I didn't have to make that major revision after all; just pulled a little 'trick' on those darn peeps to keep them in line and it seemed to work! :P

I threw some handimen in the back of my park and quicky built a few food booths to stablize my parking rating. I kept the game running while I revised some rides/scenery in cells 1 and 2, added my 'trick' to one of the cells and a similar 'trick' in another cell, made some minor adjustments to JA (cell 3's coaster), added one more ride in both cell 4 and cell 5, and improved the pathing in cells 3 and 4.

Now I'm at about year 6, my park rating went from the low 300s to the mid 600s and my guests went from the high 600s to over 1400! :woot:

Up till now I also have problems finding the best balance between the working of this one and the "beauty" of it.

I'm hoping the working of this one has more weight than the "beauty of it". My park will definitely have a nice appeal, but I'm putting much more into the strategy of making a working park, than making it pretty. :ermm:

Bottom line, though, is I'm having FUN trying to beat the objectives; win or lose! :D

I guess I'd better get to it and forget themeing for now! Best to turn in a half finished park that works, then a half finished park that doesn't!

I'm going to beat ya coastercrew. :P  You too Emergo.

Yes! That's the spirit!

If you study the research, you won't have to pull as many hairs out as I had to

We have to get Emergo to get in this rather than waffling about maybe. Emergo you can't waste all that research you did on just us. :P

great!! remember I said I'll submit a cell-contest-park (even if it may be veeeery unfinished) if I read that at least some days before the deadline you had submitted one?? (just to challenge you to see a released park from you!, because I know you can do it, even with all awfull respect to your work, volunteer-obligations here, your family, etc.)

Oooooh, what am I saying, Todd? doing all these things you do and still wanting a fnished park from you? (I must be crazy to ask /expect this!)

Still:
Ok, I'll send in SOMETHING , and you're going to beat me, Okay?
(not really true, I'll still try to beat you as well as Coastercrew and everyone else that enters. Only: I am not very sure that I'll succeed :puke: )

And @ Coastercrew: I promise 'll stop waffling about this one now
Just this one still:I also am fitting in "my tricks" to mislead/redirect the peeps. We just don't release yet what our "little tricks" are, don't we?
But I am soooo much looking forward to see everyone's "tricks"/solutions once these parks are released!!

Possibly another late entry here...

I have a question about the coasters. We can only have one coaster per cell, but can the coaster be a mobius design as long as both entrances enter from the first cell and both exits lead to the second cell?

Like some of the others mentioned, mine may be unfinished as far as themeing is concerned, but it will be a working park as far as the objectives are concerned.

Am not really sure of what a "mobius" design is. But as long as the entrances are in the same cell and the (both exits) lead to the next cell, I think it will be allright. (final answer to Becky though  )

Have fun with layout/building it! :D

A mobius design is a single track with two stations. The train leaving station one arrives at station two. The train leaving station two arrives at station one. The stations are usually adjacent, but don't necessarily have to be.
