Due to the fact that I'm as sick as a dog, (pun intended,) I haven't been able to create additional park constructions because I feel like I'm going to pass out.

Today I was feeling well enough to get back into the park again.
And as usual, I chose to do something a bit un-usual.
Dueling mini coasters.
Buzz Lightyear
VS
The Evil Emperor Zurg

Buzz has the rocket style cars, Zurg has the toboggan style cars. A number of cool fly-bys take place. The terraforming has yet to be created. Unfortunatly, it's a rocky "Asteroid" is planned, so it's going to end up looking simular to Mysterious Island. (Except, MI is gonna end up with vegitation eventually.) So I'll have to find some colorable alien-looking plants to make this look a bit more different than MI. Unless I use some rocky mountainside objects. Which I'll have to swap out some objects to bring them into the game.

The tracks are pretty much mirrored images after the lift hills. So everything is reversed, left/right with the exception of getting the tracks to the other lifts when the momentum has pretty much petered out. Then the brake runs and stations. The stations are synchronized, an empty car is always ready to move into loading position, and the Zurg side had to have some extra brakes installed along the way to get things to sync up further down the circuit. But like most syncronized coasters, it always gets it's sync outta wack, the longer it runs.

Awsome new rides, Wolfie.

There are plenty of alien related objects out there, maybe you could use the new objects that MidWestBoyinLA made? The space station ones? They look pretty cool.

Yeah, I saw the Space Station stuff by MWBiLA. I made some suggestions for the stuff if you've read the entire topic at Mart. I'm not sure how well the objects will go with a coaster's curves and steep drops though. You would really have to plan out the coaster to work with the objects if the track is going to run through it at points. I would think that would mean redesigning the entire track layout of both coasters. I don't think I'd want to do that at this point. But the theming might work well in other areas of the park. I'll definatly check into it though.

But for now, a minor update. Getting a landscape for the tracks to run through. Originally, I had planned using the heartline twister track along the drops and stuff. But I ran into some problems. The heartline track started to delete the junior coaster track as I tried to use the Zero Clearance mode of 8-Cars.

So I have to figure out why the problem occured. It might be because I usually build the tracks moving forward and backward. I may have to delete sections of track and rebuild moving only forward. because when you try this build through method, you're supposed to build in the opposite direction. So I might have entire sections of the coasters that were built in the backwards direction. It's all I can think of at this point.

Anyway, part of the theming is supposed to be taking place on a meteor. And that means running the track through more jagged tiles. I need some alien landscaping to make this look a lot different than Mysterious Island. It's getting monotonous to say the least. Maybe I can theme it to an ice comet instead. At least the horizontal and virtical textures would be there. Something to think about.

Anyway, some pics... Jagged Tiles AGAIN. :(

The Incredibles area just seemed too big. A lot of flat rides and a coaster were built. But the enclosure was just too big, and you couldn't see what was inside. So it got the axe. It used to be where the little checkerboard tile is. (remember that big black diamond shaped structure?) Well, I guess I'll try to make some other attraction for the Incredibles. Probably a dark ride. We'll see what I can dream up.

I really love it! Your detail and architecture is so awesome, I can't wait until this project is finished...
