Hate to say it but, I actually liked the first version MUCH better. I think
maybe too much color now and the base area makes everything look
kind of.......spindly, almost 'toothpicky'. Kind of has a fragile look to it
now that reminds me of a house of cards...keep the ceiling fan off.

I like it, but stick with white... and also, put a bit of regualr wall down towards the base of the structure, to make it look like it has some strength.

Yeah. Trust the master to have worked this out on the first version. And I WILL try that solid wall idea later on. I'll have to redesign the base floor. But what about this for a name for the tower... "Ground Zero"?
I have another project that's been calling me. Buzz Lightyear's Rocket Jet Coaster. I just hope I have all the parts/track types I need.

Ground zero sounds kinda 9/11-y.. but at the same time it sounds really good.
I can't wait for the second take on the rocket jets, I LOVED the first one...

Got to admit that's pretty sweet. Good job on the design.

Too soon?
"Ground Zero" was a military term used waaaay back in the atomic age. (like in the 50's) It's in reference of the point where an atomic bomb would be detonated, or has been detonated. But since all neuclear devices have no been prohibited.... "Ground Zero" seems to have taken on a new meaning. Figures. It's just like you young whipper snappers to take something from the previous generation, and cause it to mean something else. Now we have less chance of understanding what you're saying.

Anyway...
When an atomic bomb went off, it created a violent & incinerating blast of hot gasses. And it rose up into the air, as in a mushroom cloud. Today we know the devistating effects of neuclear devices, and we tend to think of them as horrible. But back in the 50's, people thought it was a good thing. Healthy as a matter of fact. Mankind (or at least the dolts in the US,) were trying to spread around radiation like it was peanut butter.
It was like everything had to have radiation put in it. Luckly, the scientists and doctors came to realize what a mistake that was. Radiation was so popular, that the Stardust Gambling Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, had it's sign patterened after a clowd of nueclear radiation.
Not that much different than what I did with an observation tower. Only, gosh darn it... no loss of life.
