The weekly backup failed at approximately 08:00GMT on 12th August, and the site did not come back online as expected.

As usual, this type of thing has happened during my annual holiday, so has not been fixed until today.

So much for the Glorious Twelfth

Doesn't it always seem to go that way . Go on vacation and all heck breaks loose.There still is a small problem with the site / loging on you have to keep pounding the web site to get in.I have to refresh my screen at leaste 4 times. I don't know how many others are having the same trouble.If some are still trying to get on / if it come up once cannot find website / lot of people will just turn away and not visit the site.I dont know if it is a seriouse problem yet,I figured it out , but there are quit afew who give up to easily.If there not on instantaniously ,they will leave..... See if it can be cured or fixed , it may just be a small glitch for now , but in the long run the site may loose alot of patrons..............

I've learned that problems started before 12th August. The server was rebooted twice while I was away on 6th and 7th August, and it looks as though things have been a bit unstable on this site as a result ever since. Sometimes you get pages, sometimes you don't.

The server is still unstable 'under the covers' but we know now how this unstability is affecting the display of the forums, and we've fixed it.

Apologies for what has been the longest outage in rctspace history, we are up and running again with the boards.

Today is the first time in a couple of days that I did not have to keep refreshing the site.
It came on without a glitch , 2 U all for keeping up with it . Your doing a B...A...N...G... Up job. Very much apriciated by me and all of the RCT SPACE MEMEBERS !!!

Oh wow. I thought maybe you guys decided to suddenly close shop and move on to other things in life. I was so sad when after a few days I still wasn't able to get to the forums. So glad things are up and running again, and that you guys are still here.

I'm a bit confused when trying to reach this site. Since I am so used to finding the forums with www.rct2.com it appears that the link works but the page says the site is down and in maintenance. I'm having no problems with the forums but is this a glitch or not part of RCTspace anymore because I don't really know and its really confusing so I have to use RCTspace web address to get here from now or will rct2.com work again sometime?
