Wow :o

I'm sure if five people judged the nine entries we had, we would have five different results...but hey, you are stuck with me

*evil laugh*

But seriously, there were some great entries this round and thanks to everyone who entered...I enjoyed each and every one of them. After getting the field of entries down to 5, I could not for the life of me...narrow it down to 3..and then to choose the 1st and 2nd runnerup of two of them, because I had chosen the winner out of the three.

I will say that the inverted hairpin coaster was certainly a challenge for most of you :P but again, you all did a fantastic job!

The winner is......

THE CASUM OF SAND BY Kumba

The 1st runnerup is....

LITTLE EGYPT BY Wolfman

The 2nd runnerup is....

The September RR information will be posted in a couple weeks :) and for all those who have not entered a Road Rally yet, or placed in a Road Rally yet....LAST TIME to do that for this year!

Their all great parks.

The aquaduct in kumba's entry was very good. The coaster station was too very good but the coaster theming itself wasn't that good. Custum supports would look very good here.

I win :woot: Thx Becky, like I said I'll bring my A-game into the finals :)

K0ng's Entry was pretty sweet, a bit repetitive, but had some nice parts like the hunted mansion ride and it's station. The coasters were pretty wild, I kinda liked the madness of the hairpin coaster. Nice entry K0ng.

I was not expecting much from Wolfman being he sent his entry in so fast, but it really was an awesome entry and if I were a judge id have a very hard time decideing between it and my entry. I think the part I liked best was the face of the Pharaoh in the sand with the blue and yellow headdress. I loved the idea behind the hairpin coaster with it being a sand surfer. Then you had that great old style facade hunted mansion ride and the eatery has awesome with all the compact food stalls.

Great work guys, sorry I jumped in late and took the title, but id been itching to do this theme (again).

A few questions for Becky now... do the people who place as Runner-Ups get into the finals? Rick said they do. I really wanted to take on Emergo, but due to her accident she won't be able to make an entry till at least the finals. Can you just let her in? I mean she's won it the past two years running, that should be with a free pass? Last question, was the 9 entries in this round a record?

Oh and I can't wait for my new member tile :P

Kumba's winning a road rally? :P

I think all entries were nice. But I go with kumba's entry. Just the one which respected the most the theme.

Congrats Kumba with your win! and Wolfman & K0ng with the runner-ups.

I'm looking forward to check your parks out, just don't have time until Friday, so I'll make a review Friday or Saturday. :)

Congratulations Kumba and Wolfman!

Well.....we know at least three of us bitchslapped notphunny...good job guys ;) .

@ kumba: Thanks for the comments bro.....although I believe had I actually completed my 'vision' here it wouldn't have appeared to be so repetitive. I think my problem was trying to squeeze too many elements of Egypt into this small of a map....the ruins, palaces/temples....the Nile river...the "low rent" hillside housing/business district...outland mud/grass huts.....an area with some grasslands/semi tropical greenery and some historical elements as well. Especially when I used up SO much space trying to get a decent surround for the lift on the Inverted Hairpin. Guess I should have decided to enter a bit earlier......not that that seemed to hinder your entry at all...well done.

As for Wolfmans entry....I KNEW what to expect from Wolfman......I've worked with him enough in the past to know what he's capable of doing in a VERY short amount of time....he sets his sights on a goal and never lets himself be distracted. Ironically, I also anticipated that Pharaoh......or something similar ( a Sphynx possibly?) as I've also seen Wolfman do other fantastic 'sculptures' like that before (even the self-portrait one  ) so, I wasn't surprised at all to see what he accomplished in a short amount of time....good job Wolfman!

I was actually a bit surprised to see MY entry as a runner-up seeing that I even posted that it wasn't finished when I sent it in....but, I'm not gonna argue!

And Becky....thanks for the two minute 'leeway' there....I was so busy trying to finish I could barely keep an eye on the clock.

Too bad we can't see all the entries...I'd love to see what the others came up with with this theme as well.

Yes, runnerups will be invited to participate in the finals.

No, I'm not going to just let Emergo in

You will just have to challenge her some other time...unless of course, she decides to enter the September RR and win or place....

I don't really know if the 9 entries is a record...I'd say yes, but then Rog and Eric and Metro used to do contests too back in the day, and we might have received more entries back then. I'd say 9 is amazing considering the overall slowdown in RCT sites right now. I was pleased :D

sigh...

Hey, don't get down on yourself...you had a very nice entry Danny O and please try again in September. You were in that batch of five I narrowed down to...the fact that your coaster crashed upon opening the park didn't help matters...but I still liked your entry. Please release it in the Loading Zone for others to see

Same with you **cjman**...there were lots of parts of your park I thoroughly enjoyed. Of course, you are already in the finals, so I look forward to seeing what you do there! You should also release your entry in the loading zone!

Yeah....it was a bit crowded and I hesitated actually of placing it at all for that reason...but I liked what you did with everything, so you placed

And Becky....thanks for the two minute 'leeway' there....I was so busy trying to finish I could barely keep an eye on the clock.

Your welcome...and you can see all the entries..IF the others will start topics in the loading zone...
